Suicide worthy? No way. No doubt heavy metal has gone down the crapper recently, but this album is solid. It sounds straight out of the 90's (when radio music was still ok), like Diabolus In Musica if Slayer put a melody into their madness. All Hope is Gone is a B+ effort.

...if nothing else, "Jason Elliot" can't work a keyboard, so why trust him about music?

this CD is TERRIBLE...

dont buy it if you enjoy the first 2 cd's

If you like radio music then go for it..

i hope they will NOT play their new music when the tour this fall...

I have to disagree with you that All Hope is Gone is terrible. As a Slipknot fan since the release of Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat (which most people don't know is actually their first release, not their self-titled album), I have to say its second to Iowa. I believe you can hear the influences of both Iowa and Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses on this album. This is a good idea because not only will they still have their die-hard fanbase but also attract newer fans as well.

I seriously have no idea where you are coming from saying this is a bad album. Ok snuff sounds like stone sour. But this album has some of the most brutal sh** they have ever played. Its all in all a 9

This sounds nothing like Stone Sour, it sounds like Slipknot. Far from terrible.

Wishful thinking. Of course they're gonna play it live. I guess that means you'll either put up with it or miss out if you ever see them.

I dont know about any1 else but im really getting tired of people saying slipknot sold out. Personally as much as i love self titled and iowa i would be pissed if all they ever put out were repeats of those albums. If you really think that there that bad now dont listen to it. But dont b naive enough to think that a musician isnt going 2 change there sound. and comparing Slipknot 2 those real sell outs like Metallica is absolutly luducris and simple minded

I have a friend that loves slipknot but honestly, i dont see anything special about them. Seems like they are extremely confuse with their sound. I listing to the tracks of "all hope is gone", from my friend. Sounds like alot of radio friendly songs and yet some hard metal and idk but thats annoying. Im all for variety but with slipknot it gets annoying as hell. Make up your minds slipknot please

I like diversity in music, and that's something Slipknot finally has.

Even after I heard Duality on the radio, I wasn't crazy about it. I just kept thinking of their old stuff, so boring and repetitive. Scream for 5 minutes and call it a song? *yawns*

So I gave them a second chance and actually enjoyed Duality. Ended up buying the album. Later I bought the 2nd Stone Sour album and liked it even better.
