This is a good book and offers a lot of information about Blu-Ray. I am planning to create some fancy blu-ray discs from my HD camcorder and I wanted to get familiar with the format.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that besides the technical info (codecs, limitations, etc), this book also includes some information on how to prepare your assets for blu-ray authoring.

Highly recommended! Probably the best book available to date. I subtracted a star because it could be better organized and it also could get more in depth about the compression codecs. It should be more like 4.5 stars....

This book is a very good general overview of Blu-ray and I would say that it goes beyond the basics. Anyone looking to learn about what Blu-ray is and how it works this would be a good book to start from.

The book on Blu-ray is perfect. It provides a basic understanding all the way to the nuances of what potential Blu-ray offers. It is very well written and very helpful for both technical and business use in the field. Highly recommend it.

This book has all you need to know for the new and the experienced in the bluray business, not only the stuff you'd hope to find like capacities, compression, tables and formulas to calculate how much stuff a bluray can hold, but tips and stuff related to video and audio that will help you when working in HD.
Mr. Taylor also gives us great ways to explain in a simpler language to a our customers (that do not know about technical stuff) why some things have to be made in a certain way.
This is a book to keep near the workstation for quick reference, since there are various answers for the day to day problems.

Great book in every aspect
