When I received the Bluapple I knew first off I wanted to try it with banana's. These are something that we eat but not real fast. Usually, within a week I have to put my banana's in the trash. They get soft and dark. So, of course I knew this would be a great thing to try the Bluapple with.

Upon getting my banana's I placed them in a pretty bowl along with the Bluapple. The picture is having the banana's for 3 days already. As you can tell they aren't getting any dark spots, they also still have a little green on them. These banana's would have lasted a easy 2 weeks if we hadn't eaten them all up.

This saved us money due to the fact I didn't have to trash nasty banana's since we got them ate up before they were bad. I am not one into putting food in the trash, I feel as if I am wasting money. So, having the Bluapple has been great. I can't wait to see how well this works for everything else. I did try it on the banana's as they seem to go bad the fastest. This is an item that is worth the money. I will be the first to say I was skeptical at first as many are. Having the chance to review this item first hand has really changed my mind. I know this will be an item to stay in our home for a really long time.

These funny blue apples look and function well in the refrigerator to keep fruits AND vegetables fresh. Fruits that usually would look a bit 'worn' still look as if they were just bought.

They have no smell to them (that I can discern) and look very well made.

** The most important thing to me, since other products use a similar technology, is that they are the only ones on the market that are refillable ** - the other ones that I almost bought have to be thrown out after a month or so. I like that there's no extra plastic being wasted with the blue apples. (Plus, they're amusing to see in the drawer.)

They were well packaged, with instructions. The company that sold them were super nice and helpful, and shipped them very quickly.

I have purchased 4 Blue Apples and I have them in my refrigerator drawers and my fruit and vegetable bowls on the counter in my kitchen. They really work!!! My produce never spoils before I have a chance to use it and I am saving so much money because of this little investment! A must have for anyone with a kitchen!

This is a great product. I purchased a bag of apples at Walmart, the day I received the product. A month later, one of the apples in the bag was still in my crisper drawer. Thanks to blueapple it was still fresh. Can't say enough about how much we're saving on produce. Definitely worth the buy. Great price too.

I bought these Bluapples sort of on a whim -- not really expecting to have much more luck with them than I have with the special bags marketed as veggie savers.

I'm always an overly enthusiastic buyer of fruits and vegetables; but way too often they start to go downhill before I get ready to use them. The green bags that I've tried have offered a bit of an increase in longevity/usability, but usually I ended up pulling limp, soggy bags of unidentifiable organic mass from the fridge after awhile. Some of the bags are intended as washable, but I sometimes pitched them out for the grossness factor.

While I think the bags are actually more effective in keeping produce fresh, these little Bluapples are better for me so far simply because I'm more likely to see and use the bin's veggies rather than let them get forgotten in bags. I prefer to keep most of my produce loose in the two fridge veggie drawers so that I can see at a glance what my options are. The blue plastic apple takes up little space in the drawer along with all the real apples and other fruits and vegetables -- and yet its bright blue color is obvious enough that it doesn't accidentally get tossed out into the compost with the past-prime produce.

I like that the little apples are refillable with Bluapple Ethylene Gas Absorber Refills. Each refill is supposed to last about three months.

When shopping, I'm still overly ambitious about the amount of vegetables and fruit we'll consume in a reasonable period. But, thanks to these little Bluapples, I'm maybe tossing out a bit less worn out produce into our compost bins.

I buy Costco produce and you all know that when you do that ... you usually end up with a lot! It makes it even tougher if you're a single person like me and trying to use up a whole lot of veggies before it spoils is more often than not impossible.

They either spoil before you can use them all or if you're like my ex will buy these yellow/green bags and or yellow containers which is suppose to help keep veggies fresher longer.

The problem with bags is that they fill up with crud and you have to wash out the bag and DRY it out if you want to reuse and this can be a real chore. The yellow containers TAKE UP A LOT OF SPACE.

I just ran into these blue apples by accident so I decided to try it out. And it seems to work because the package of tomatoes that I purchased a while back seems to have lasted until the last one which became soft but still usable. Normally, I would throw out 2-4 tomatoes because they would rot.

Like I said ... so far so good.
