I spend a lot of time looking for deals on used & vintage guitars on Guitarauction.com. I've found this book to be a great resource in that it lets me know all the going prices for thousands of different guitars so that I know what a good deal is when I see one.

This is a fantastic source of guitar information. Everything you need to know about identifying different models and current pricing. A great book, not just for the professional dealer, but the amateur collector as well. A bargain at twice the price. If you have ever bought a guitar and were unsure of what exactly you have, or wanted to know of it has been modified this answers all your questions. Buy this book.

I liked this book and plan to use all that I learned when I am buying used guitars. It has good pics and so much information my head is still spinning. I don't think I took it all in so I will read it again, at least once. If you are a guitar player who might buy a guitar (used) one day, then you should have this. While the retail prices seem to be right on, if you shop around, like at Chris Guitars (check out his dot-com web site) in Maryland , you'll find guitars much cheaper than what they are in the book.
