While all of the performances contained here are worth having in your collection, RCA's song selection is downright Scrooge-like (the CD has a total running time of less than 20 minutes) and the sound quality has been bettered by more recent collections. Those who want a definitive Elvis Christmas compilation should check out IF EVERY DAY WAS LIKE CHRISTMAS, which contains each and every Yuletide recording Presley made on a single disc.

The music is great, what there is of it. What you don't know until you buy the CD is that the producers only packages 8 Elvis Christmas songs for a total of slightly over 20 minutes. If you don't mind feeling ripped off by RCA, then Elvis sings Christmas beautifully.

This is a low-budget Christmas compilation. The first 4 songs are from his 1971 "The Wonderful World of Christmas" album and the last 4 are from his classic 1957 Christmas album. This CD has some really good songs on it, but it only has 8 songs. I would recommend that you spend a few extra bucks and buy the outstanding "If Everyday Was Like Christmas" CD which contains every Christmas song that Elvis recorded!

It is true that you can spend more money and buy another comp. with every Elvis Christmas song included. But if you're like me and prefer the traditional over the contemporary Christmas songs this budget release is for you. Elvis only recorded 20 Christmas songs during his career. Enough for two albums and one single. Of those 20, nine were traditional (eight are here). O Little Time of Bethlehem is missing. The remaining 11 songs were of the contemporary variety.

I'm witholding one star from my rating because they should have made this a 10 track release by including O Little Town of Bethlehem and his Christmas single release from '66, If Every Day Was Like Christmas. Nevertheless I highly recomend this release if you want just a little Elvis Christmas.

This is a good collection from Elvis, however, it's a little on the light side and you can more than likely find a bigger collection in one of his other holiday projects. The vocals are great, the songs timeless, it's just a really quick listen that leaves you wanting more.

Only 8 tracks and some of them real soppy..don't waste your time or money.

This is a budget-length CD re-issue of the Christmas compilation "If Every Day Was Like Christmas". I always have to ask what was wrong with that one, that they have to re-package the same material! As usual, RCA is master of the crass posthumus re-packaging/re-issue mentality, feeding off Elvis' dead flesh. Capitol is a close second, committing the same sacrilege with the Beach Boys' awesome catalogue.

The bottom line is, skip this and get the "If Every Day Was Like Christmas" compilation instead; it has all the Christmas songs Elvis did, and if you're going to get Elvis for Christmas, might as well get it all.

I'm very happy with the product I received. My problem was my own... I ordered several CDs and had already put some in my cart. I didn't look at it so ended up with two of several CDs. But it gave me additional gifts! Worked out alright!
