This review is from: Blue Collar Jesus: How Christianity Supports Workers' Rights (Paperback)
Workers rights is an issue that is extremely close to my heart. I read a review on this book in an interfaith council for workers rights newsletter and I really felt the need to read it. I think that it is an important book which outlines some basic biblical principles as well as some stuff on unionization. However I think that this could have been easily written by anyone who really has a background in this kind of work and a good biblical education. But I am glad that someone explicitly made these connections. This would be a good book to have a church group read if they were interested in making more connections with their faith and the world. Also recommended along these same lines:Sojourners Magazine, Nickled and Dimed, the interfaith council for workers rights website |
