I was pleasantly surprised at the strength of character this and the whole series brought out. Paul Hutchens books captured my 10 year olds imagination. While these aren't huge novels, they are just the right size for a 10 year old's attention span and the central theme never gets lost. This is a great reinforcement for any parent trying to present the correct values in todays world.

The Blue Cow is an amazing book. I love every detail and every chapter. Every part of the book has great descriptions and thrilling events. I highly recommend this book to any 4th or 5th grader looking for an adventure that will blow their minds.

A "Sugar Creek" book is always an excellent read! This series feature a group of hard-working, hungry-eating boys. They all are good comrades with one another and their predicaments usually teach good Christian morals. In "The Blue Cow" one boy learns true patience (for with cows, things go a bit slow) and also forgiveness is learned.

Great for boys and girls, all ages 8 & up.

Great character building books for boys to read. If you have a boy that does not like to read try these out on him.

The books were dramatized for an radio series by Paul Ramseyer of Northwestern College Radio in Minnesota and our family is now a part of the ministry, helping to produce the audio series for families to enjoy at home! You'll enjoy Bill's antics and the barefoot fun of all the boys in the "gang"! (As a side note, I do recommend the books be read in order. They tell an ongoing story from beginning to end.)
