Dan Fortune has an old friend for a client, but the lady has a venue of her own. Discovering who killed Leslie Carter's husband takes Dan from New York to the West Coast, then back to a small inlet off the New Jersey coast while a hurricane is in progress and someone is using a rifle from the marsh to stop his investigation.Nice read in the old-fashioned cozy sense.
