I originally bought these pads in August of '09 from a company called Northshore for $35 dollars. Not only did I receive them in 2 days, but the quality was excellent as well. The Chux were thick and non-scratchy, and more importantly, they were durable. They also came in 4 separate bags of 25. Wonderful!

I was so pleased with my order, that when I re-ordered them in November, I purposefully used the same link from my account, assuming that I would be ordering the SAME product from the SAME company. Wrong. Apparently, someone at Amazon switched the supplier, but kept the link the same, because my November order came from a place called BP Medical Supplies. Not only did they take forever to arrive (a week after the date I was given), but the quality of the Chux was completely different. They didn't come in 4 bags of 25, but 1 bag of 150 (I ordered 2 sets), which were crammed into a tiny box. They were cheap, scratchy and SO thin, you could practically see right through them. They absorbed nothing. I actually poked a finger through one, as I took them out of the bag. The person I buy these for, complained about how itchy they were. If you're a regular user of Chux, you know what I'm talking about. Horrible and misleading! Shame on Amazon for switching the information around. Take a look at the past reviews--Northshore used to be the supplier, until some brilliant mind switched them for BP.

If you're looking for good quality Chux, the best ones are currently listed under "Champion Blue Disposable Underpads" which are "Sold by NorthShore Care Supply and Fulfilled by Amazon." If you're willing to shell out $10 more, it's totally worth it. I just bought 2 boxes on Monday and received them on Thursday with Free shipping to boot (and yes, the quality was fantastic)!

And no, I do not work for NorthShore, I'm just a person who hates being mislead, and hates to see others in the same boat I ended up in--especially if you're buying them for a loved one.

There are two primary competing Disposable Underpads on Amazon. One is thin and not very absorbent. These are of better quality. Just check out the number in a case. The highest count case is not too good. However these are great.

The "Select" brand chux sold by Northshore Care Supply and fulfilled by Amazon are great hospital quality chux. Be careful about the chux sold through the Amazon marketplace link in the same product listing. Some of those are not the same chux. The ones sold by DHMedical, for example, cost less but are thinner, less absorbent and the production quality is worse (e.g. the edge of the cotton material is ragged and the thickness is irregular and even bald in some spots).

For diaper changes, this pad feels as comfortable as the one used in delivery room. It's way better than the ones we got from drug stores.

The lower layer is very sturdy and prevents leakage very well. The smooth upper layer gives needed comfort to our baby daughter.

Amazon had better STOP THE BAIT & SWITCH or they will lose customers in droves. People do not like being ripped off after they have purchased a good quality item only to come back later and be switched to an inferior product. Wake up Amazon....in this economy people cannot afford to have their money wasted.

When I re-ordered them in Feb 2011, I used the same link from my account, assuming that I would be ordering the same product. But I received a cheap, thin, non-absorbant Chinese-made imitation from some other company. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Only buy from NorthShore is you want the real pads.

I originally purchased this product in November 2008, they were incredible. To repurchase in March 2010, I went back into my amazon.com order history, and used the same link to get to the product, and purchased some this month. They are terrible. These are not real chux, look for the same listing, but the seller is Northshore Care, those are the real deal. These are paper thin, and leak. STAY AWAY!!!

i use this underpad for my dog. i don't recommend to buy this product because it's very thin, it does not obsorb the urine, it just slip all over the pad and to the carpet. i bought before a diffrent underpad that was thick and fluffy but forgot from who i ordered it.

I did not realize how one brand of Chux disposable pads differed from another until receiving these pads. They are softer, thicker, quilted and a little larger than the pads which were obtained at the hospital and purchased from two medical supply facilities in South Florida. I've become a rock star with the Nurse's Aides who find them to be more absorbent, less flimsy and actually are more attractive than the others. These are used for an adult during the night and they are saving the bed pads, sheets and the patient's body. If they were on Subscribe and Save, I'd sign up today.

I use these pads for my elderly dog instead of the more expensive "puppy pads". I had been buying them from Walmart, but these were so much less expensive for the same thing. They are a bit thinner than the store brands, but they serve the same purpose and work wonderfully.
