This is a great group of guys who really know how to jam, be it at the rustic beach front club the Windjammer ,where our parents grew up too, or in the crowded streets of a small college town like Athens (that I personally helped convert). The Blue Dogs is the best off shore fishing cd that you will find- the fish enjoy it too and the next thing you know, a 350 lb blue has jumped in the boat to hear Futch strumming away, a little better. Just wish my friends would quit 'borrowing' my cd!

Growing up in the South, I have heard so many great bands who start out small, playing at intimate local venues, and end up in the big time. The Blue Dogs are perhaps the best of the bands I have heard live, but unfortunately they have just not been lucky enough to catch the big break they deserve.

Blue Dogs is an outstanding album with all of the things you would look for in a great record--fun lyrics, guitar skills, great sound, and a passion for entertaining the masses. If you consider yourself a fan of artists who sing because they love to and not to get famous, southern rock, or great albums in general, then you have to pick this one up ASAP!

THe band from South Carolina continues to impress...another great CD that few have heard about, but should know about within a few years....Great in concert as well.... a real up and coming group.
