Pixies are great lures for Alaskan salmon. Their size and weight lets you cast them far. Any salmon fisherman should have some of these in his tackle box. This trip (2013) on the Talkeetna River, we found red salmon colored, and green ones to be quite good. We caught sme good "silvers" (Coho) on them. The only disadvantage is that they are big and therefore we found that they snagged fish uit often. For this reason it's probbly also a good idea to have some smaller spinning lures (red and green colored blades) in your tackle box as well.

I don't know anything about this item, it was a gift I gave to my brother. The weather has been too bad for him to fish much since Christmas, so he hasn't commented on it's usefulness.

Great Lure. Used it for Humpies (Pink Salmon) Worked like a charm. Used the Hot pink/Fluorescent Red and caught plenty of fish.
