5.0 out of 5 stars Good blend of composition and technique, August 7, 2003

Dan Lambert seems to me to be one of those unknown, major players on the acoustic guitar scene - if that contradiction makes any sense. He can rip, startle you, play nice and pretty, and his compositions are as unique as they get...check out the first tune on here, at times it doesn't even sound like a guitar.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth It!, April 2, 2003

I don't know what to say except that this cd has some exceptional music on it. It's well worth the price. Check out some of his others too. Besides being such a good guitarist, Mr. Lambert writes magnificent tunes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique Solo Guitar Music, March 2, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Blue Hand (Audio CD)
I am an ex-student of Dan Lambert. He taught me in El Paso for a few years during high school, then I went off to college and moved away. I still play guitar, but not professionally. Whenever Dan releases a new cd, he has some kind of party in El Paso, so I always have my mom go pick up his latest. Somehow I missed THE BLUE HAND getting released, but this really unique music. It sure isn't your typical solo guitar music. What I like about Dan and his music more than anything else, I think, is that he isn't afraid to put his own signature on the music BIG TIME. I mean, you can always tell that it's Dan. That is what I think I took out of those lessons more than anything else, to work hard at something and artistically, put your all into it. Doing that, you may lay your soul bare a little bit, but it sure makes for some exciting music!
