Much to my great suprise, this seed is already sprouting!

Hooray! I didn't expect it to germinate so soon.

A bit of advice, nick the seed before planting to open up the shell. Then, use high grade seed starter soil. I also use distilled water (DO NOT USE TAP WATER)that has been slightly warmed to raise the temp of the soil to about 85 degrees. I water every morning (early) with just one teaspoon of warm water over the top of the seeded area to stimulate growth. This has worked very, very well for me with seeds in the past.

I am excited about growing this one. :D

I'm gonna be honest this is my first time I buy seeds at all so I decide to buy from 2 different sites here and E....
despite the ramdom rating I decided to try my luck.
First of all, all seeds were perfectly in excellent conditions, can't say the same thing from the other marketplace or seller :S.
this seller gave me 24 seeds instead of 20, can't say he'll do the same to you but the extra amount was very surprising (Thanks).
and if that wasn't enough he also send me another weird seed called Dracaena or dragon tree (beautiful when matures)(now that i think of it maybe was because I both the bamboo-leaf seeds also).

I divided the seeds in 3 separate groups 10/10/4 I'm gonna use pure water(example distilled ) on one group on the other ill use hormones and on the last group I gave them to my father. I will update this review when I see them germinate or in max 2 or 3 months if nothing happens today is 06/03/2011
I almost forgot to tell you guys I received the package on time the first day of its arrival period, also had and excellent communication with the seller about a question I had, he respond me the next day.

So lets say I'm not only satisfy but Happy with my first buy.

I recieved the seeds quickly. I tested three of them to check the germination rate and two of the three germinated in a plastic bag with a damp paper towel beneath them in about three days. I am very excited to watch them grow in the pots I made and transplanted them into. The other two seeds are now in a plastic bag and hopefully I will see results very soon.

-I got what I wanted.

-The seller is good at communicating with you in the event that issues do arise.

-I am Happy.

I am giving 2 * because I wanted it and it does grow.. You dont get the proper instructions with the shipment, but there are plenty available online.. just check on web and you will get instructions how to take care of your plant.

The seeds I got did work for me.. more than 60% so I am happy,, but I am disappointed that I didnt get what I was expecting....... bonsai lovers knows what they want, and how to take care of the plants.. anyways! just dont get carried away with the picture posted. I must thank to one of the customer who posted one picture, atleast it will help in judging wht you getting..

This might take almost 7-10 years to bloom properly..

I bought the pack of seeds
followed directions I found that someone posted (not the ones that came with the seeds)
and the two I planted sprouted and are growing everyday.

soak seeds for 24 hours
plant and keep the soil moist by spraying water mist on it
not by watering but by misting
within a week they sprouted


worked on the two I tried it on.

I am very happy with the seeds that I received. I soaked one seed overnight like the instructions said, and rewarmed it a few times during the day. Then I planted it and set it by the window. 1 week later I had a seed sprouting. I was thoroughly shocked, to say the least, and jumping up and down with joy!!! I was expecting it to be hard to germinate the seed and thought that I would discover that I had just wasted my money. But no!! They sprouted!!!! The instructions said that it can take up to 30 - 60 days to germinate and I had a seed sprouting in a week!!! Who knew!!! Now my sister has tried one and she says hers is sprouting too. That is two seeds out of 5 that have sprouted!!! I think that is pretty good since I only wanted one plant to bonsai!!

I thoroughly recommend these seeds!

1/5 sprouted in 7 days and 8 days later it is already 6 inches tall! this thing grows like crazy.
Another sprouted 16 days after planting.

Unfortunately, all 5 seeds were a bust. None germinated although I read many of the online instructions on how to do it. I also read that buyers often received more than 5 seeds, but I wasn't so lucky. After thinking about it I decided I didn't want to wait the 10+ years 'til this species bloomed so I won't be buying again.

I purchased these seeds as part of my desire to have a Bonsai I planted my self. I received 5 seeds and an email with instructions. I planted the seeds and only 1 germinated but that was OK because I only wanted one Bonsai. I'm also glad it germinated at all because according to the instructions I as supposed to leave it in the the back of the fridge for a long while and wait until a certain season. Obviously when I purchased these I was not aware of that fact since they don't publish that information with the product specs and I didn't want to wait that long so I just planted all of them and wished for the best. within a week and a half to 2 weeks 1 seed germinated and is currently a lovely sapling. It has now been almost three months and is the only one that has germinated thus far. Over all this is a good buy however I wish they would publish he instructions in he specs of he product.

I received the seeds very fast and the instructions was very clear have already seen results. I have great expectations of the result.
