Whether you liked the movie "The Blue Lagoon" or not, you should definitley check out this score. It is one of the most fabulous compositions ever made for a movie. It's gorgeous orchestra will take you to the edge of the ocean, where you will fall in love. A definite for any movie lover.

I can't give this CD less than 5 stars, because it's outstanding. The most beautiful movie score I've ever heard. I love the the movie and I love the music, but I'm sure you will love the music even if you didn'd see the movie.Basil Poledouris is simply amazing...I'm wordless...it's unable to dicribe the beauty in his music with words.

I have one thing to say: Basil poledouris is a genius! I have never heard a more epicly, romanticly touching score. This incredible soundtrack is one of a precious few that has the power to "pull the strings of your emotion". When you hear this music, you can't help but be completely pulled into it. If you are a soundtrack lover, or any music lover for that matter, you NEED this CD! I can't see how you wouldn't like it if you had any appreciation for music at all.

I've often played the memory of this beautiful music in my head throughout the years. Now that I have the soundtrack on CD I am thoroughly content with finally being able to listen to this exquisite soundtrack. Listening to this CD brings me great enjoyment. Mr. Poledouris's music for this film is absolutely wonderful and memorable.

This soundtrack is as great as the film. The music is beautiful and mesmerizing, and I know of no other original instrumental score that can have such an emotional impact when you listen to it. Each track makes me think of that particular scene in the movie. The only problem with this CD is that it has become very difficult to find, but if you can get your hands on one, don't hesitate to buy it ! You won't be disappointed.

I bet that you guys already saw the first movie. my favorite tracks are Emmely(Main Theme) The end Credits and the emmely (reprise). But the track the I really love is the "Children Growing up". this track and the part of the movie when the two kids were finally on their own, swimming under the water are perfectly match. it actually reminds me of my years when I was a kid growing up and I notice that everything is changing as I grow. watching that part of the movie with that background score is very dramatic, emotional, nostalgic and sentimental!!

if you guys remember the scen that im talking about you will remember yourself when you were a child growing up!

I have always loved this soundstrack and had the album years ago. When I ran across a video clip of this on YouTube, I was reminded how sublime the music was and so sought out to purchase it on CD. That turned out to be an expensive endeavor, but one that I do not regret. Basil did an excellent job with this early score and I listen to it often, particularly when visiting any tropical location. If you liked the move, you'll love the soundtrack!

I have to say for the price i had to pay for this cd(its so worth it), this soundtrack has been a long time coming, i've been waiting forever for it to come onto cd form. I went to see the movie when it first came out in 1980 and i was in hight school, i ran out and bought the record, and i still have it too, and every night back then i played oneside when i went to bed. Its the most soothing music to fall asleep to. thanks for finally putting it on cd so i can fall asleep to the whole album. And i have to say that was the greatest Brook Sheilds movie ever. thanks again jay sharmer
