5.0 out of 5 stars great stuff
We have used this product for 2 years. We ride motorcycles ALOT and this is the only product I have found that I can put on once in the morning before we leave and I never have to worry. It's very thick and hard to put on but once it's on it's great. I have tired the face and the sport and they work well also. But for my fair skin I need the one with more zinc oxide...

2.0 out of 5 stars Did not work so great for my sensitive skin
I have very sensitive skin that burns very easily. Blue Lizard was only so-so as a sunscreen, I burned a little with it on my face. It goes on very white so you must rub it in well. The biggest problem I had with this product was it burned my sensitive skin before I stepped into the sun, especially so on my face. This is fine for legs and arms not so much for face and...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!, November 12, 2007
My wife and I utilized this product while on our honeymoon in the Caribbean and it worked as advertised. She has extremely sensitive skin to most products in general and must take precautions for sun exposure due to her skin type. After spending a few hours snorkeling the product needed to be reapplied but that is to be expected in the warm salt water; the product does not indicate it is water proof but it is one of the best we have tried at dealing with water. It goes on goopy and white but is easily absorbed and massaged into the skin. We suffered no burns or reactions. Overall an impressive product with innovative packaging. HIghly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thick gloppy gooey stuff but it works., August 10, 2007

I used this sunscreen while building a retaining wall in front of my house back in July. A little of this stuff sure goes a long way. However, once I put it on my arms and face and neck, places exposed to the sun while I was working, I didn't worry about sunburn at all, and I didn't get burned.

4.0 out of 5 stars works well, September 2, 2007
The sensitive-skin version didn't irritate my skin or sense of smell, as most do. This got me thru a very sunny, hot week in July in India, with the only burn where I missed the side of my neck one day. It did take extra time to rub it in so that my skin didn't have a weird lavender-white hue. It is a bit pricey and not carried at many stores, so Amazon was the best place to buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars it really helped protect my face from hyperpigmentation, March 6, 2008
I have medium olive tone skin. I have suffered from melasma/hyperpigmentation for 3 years. I needed a sunscreen/sunblock that wouldn't break down in the sun after only a couple of hours and didn't irritate or burn my eyes as well. Titanium and zinc has always left
a white cast on my face, but they are truly one of the few stable ingredients that actually protect you from the sun and don't irritate my skin. I wanted something I could pick up at the store without ordering through the mail and have to end up paying postage which sometimes cost as much as the product you are ordering.

I got a sample of this from the skin care foundation when I wrote and asked them for a sample. They sent me a nice little trial size bottle which lasted me a month and a half.

It is wonderful! I even put it all the way around my eyes and all the way up to my eyelashes, no stinging or burning my eyes. Even better, it barely left any white cast! Unbelievable. I thought it would when I first put it on, I looked like a ghost. 5 minutes later it is gone! I have my beautiful olive skin tone back. I don't know extactly why it doesn't leave a white cast, like other zinc/titanium sunscreens/blocks, but I'm just so glad it doesn't!
I have purchased the full size bottle and never go without it and my hyperpigmentation (also used renova for my hyperpigmentation) is just about gone. I put this on my son who did not get my skin coloring and is light eyed and light hair and he has never burned! It seems like it would be oily when I first put it on, but that vanished as well and it is so creamy and just glides on.
I feel very secure when I wear this product, no chemicals and I know it's blocking the sun, not just scattering the rays! The bad side is, it, is really hard to remove. But, I don't care and have solved that problem by using a really good cleanser. For the price of only $9.99, you can't beat it! It does seem to be a seasonal thing, so at the end of the summer, buy an extra bottle for the winter. (Inormally purchase at a local drugstore) I never go outdoors here in South Carolina or anywhere else without it.

I've even filled up my little sample bottle and have it in my purse and remind myself to apply it to my hands as well or touch ups, while driving. Love it and will not waste my money on other useless, high priced sunscreen/sunblock again!
Oh and it's called Blue Lizard
Suncream and not sunscreen/block, and it's awesome.
I hope this helps, whoever is looking for a good quality, well priced sunscreen.

5.0 out of 5 stars They delivered!, August 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, Sensitive SPF 30+, 5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
Product arrived quickly and in great condition. Will buy again. Great sunscreen for very sensitive skin and prone to develop allergic reactions. Does leave a bit of a white cast but not bad if you have white skin. It does give you the typical sunscreen shine. It is a little bit thick, but not bad, you can apply it with no problem. The main advantages are great protection, great water resistance and great for sensitive skin.

5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended, August 26, 2009
This review is from: Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, Sensitive SPF 30+, 5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
My dermatologist recommends that all their patients use this product. It is as good as any other out there and wonderfully cheap for the protection it provides. I ended up buying the larger container (can't recall but I think it was a gallon size) for my whole family. We all love it - no skin problems and have been using it for several years.

4.0 out of 5 stars good lotion but leaves a light white coating, November 30, 2007
By
scubabunny (San Antonio, TX United States) - See all my reviews
This seems to be a good sunblock lotion. It does leave a fine light white coating on your skin from the zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. The dermatologist told me you must have the zinc or titanium to really block the sun. I had been using other products and still got some sun damage on my face and arms. This product should work to prevent that from happening again.
