From School Library Journal
Grade 3-5 Mum and Dad Misty, from somewhere out there, are "Going Spaces" with the children in order to broaden their minds. To view the Two-Legged Earth Monsters better, they assume human shapes when they arrive. Since they know that people come in many shades of color, they, unfortunately, opt for bright blue. The Mistys become separated and wonder why they are causing a sensation. One child becomes involved in an boy's defense against the neighborhood bullies. The story had possibilities as a light, humorous science fiction adventure, but it is far too British for American children. (Most will be totally lost when the Blue Mistys are able to finance their Earth Food when they are mistaken for Guys on Guy Fawkes Day.) Alas, this import has too many Briticisms critical to the appreciation of the story that are beyond the inference ability of the intended audience. Lucy V.
