It's been 20 years since Ehsan Aman last sang in Kabul, since he last watched Afghan teenagers swoon over his love ballads, dancing till dawn to his Eastern melodies. This is not Bollywood or traditional Southeast Asian music. This artist is more the equivalent of a pop/soft jazz sound. I would say if you enjoy Enya, Clannad, Ravi Shankar, Sarah McLachlan, etc., then you might enjoy this.

The album is recorded in India, but the artist was born/raised in Pakistan. It's mellow but not too mellow. Very similar to those "Rough Guides" CDs.
