Bought this game for my 4 year-old. She loves it! Her friends too.
It's easy enough for young children to learn in moments. Just stack the cute wooden hens, wagon wheels, and hay bales on the wobbly perch, and take turns removing piece by piece while still keeping the roost in balance. My daughter loves the suspense, and I love that she is practicing important fine motor and balancing skills while having a ton of fun! The game is cute and very well crafted, all in wood.

The game is such a simple concept, but it's great for practicing hand-eye coordination and learning about levers and balance. You can effect how challenging the game is by stacking most of the weights on one end and changing where the fulcrum is. Then we get to learn about how the same weight far from the balancing point has more effect than the same weight closer to the balancing point. Lots of fun and learning going on. The only "negative" is for my 5 y.o. She doesn't like games that unpredictably crash down (Jenga isn't for her eigher). The adaptation we've made for the little one is that a grown up coaches her on which weight to take for her best bet. She seems to like that better. My 6 y.o. likes it just fine.
Games are quick, simple and fun.
