This is the second pet tag silencer I've purchased. The first one finally wore out after three years. It links with velcro around the tags. Since my dog is hairy, I think the velcro wore out sooner since it was clogged with his hairs.

It's a very good product, does what it's supposed to do... stop the incessant jingling of dog tags. Very helpful for getting a full night's sleep.

I really do love this product. My cat has a 1.5-inch tag, and this stretches, so it fits around any size tag. Her tags don't make a sound now. Most cats are able to silence their tags and bells on their own just by walking gracefully, but my cat is mostly deaf, so it was driving me nuts that she couldn't hear how loud she clinked at night. She's quite the escape artist, though, so I want her tags on her. So this product allows me to sleep and feel better about my cat's safety. :)

My late dog, Luke, had one that slid on to his collar. This velcros on and falls off. Very disappointed... oh well live and learn. I tend to suffer from the disease of perfectionism.
