Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 2-4–While not all readers are likely to "get it," this picture book will initiate much thought and discussion. Bored with their electronic toys and gadgets, four school-aged boys meet up with Sabrina, an artistic young girl who shows them how to appreciate the world around them. This unconventional tale about looking inside and outside of oneself by examining the world through color is an artistic treat. The visually appealing, easy-to-follow story is told through the use of collage, cut-outs, cartoon illustrations, and a fluid text. It works equally well as a read-aloud or read-alone.– Carol L. MacKay, Camrose Public Library, Alberta, Canada

As a read-aloud, this is a valuable book to spark dialogue. As an independently read book...not so much.
