I was looking for a SMALL portable grill that I could use for hamburgers. This one fills the bill. I suspect that this wouldn't be a good choice for larger items to grill, but it is perfect for our use, and the hamburgers were just the way we like them!

We gave up on large propane grills a long time ago, and we have been using charcoal, but even then, by the time we buy the charcoal and wait for it to heat, we have been avoiding grilling - just not enough food for the expense and the effort.

This portable grill has about 10 by 12 inches grilling surface, about right for four frozen hamburger patties. If you make your own, you might be able to squeeze six on the surface. The other half of the grill has a stove burner and removable griddle on top. You can place a pot directly on top of the burner to cook. Both burners are controlled by separate knobs, meaning you only have to heat up the area you are actually using. It has a push-button lighter, so no matches are needed. It is a great item that could easily replace a propane stove for camping, adding grilling as a nice option.

It is perfect for my husband and I to grill a small amount of food without wasting a lot of fuel. The additional burner makes it a nice item to keep on hand for "emergency preparedness." It folds up nicely, and is easy to carry with you or store on a shelf in the garage during the winter. I especially like the fact that it has a locking top which makes it easy and safe to carry.

BUT, there is a caveat. If you are terrified of assembling items, do NOT buy this cute little grill. It comes with 18 parts that are assembled with 30 screws, wing nuts, washers, lock washers, pins, and cotter pins. There are 4 sizes of screws and other essential matching parts. The instructions said that assembly should take about 30 minutes. It took me close to two hours to finish.

On the plus side, it comes with the only essential tool - the Phillips Head screwdriver, and all parts matched up well, with only a few awkward spots to assemble. Instructions are pictorial - which can be either a plus or minus depending upon the way you enjoy your assembly instructions. In my case, although it took longer than the instructions stated, I never felt overwhelmed by the task.

If you would like a grill that uses a larger surface, you will want to consider another one, but if you are like us and want something portable, handy, and small, this one works nicely.

Oh, and if you are considering this as a wedding gift, you might want to assemble it for the newlyweds, lest their marriage not survive the assembly. :)

Note ... Our home had a concrete patio in front, and I set this on top of the patio where it was easy to access. I also used foil underneath to take care of drips and drops from the meat. HOWEVER, while the instructions indicate that it is not intended for tabletop use, I did not experience any extra heat issues while using it on the Patio.

This is a wonderful grill. I'm not by any means a pro at grilling out, but this grill has made it seem as though I am. It does not the propane at a fast rate. The bottle last through several uses.

I bought this grill because of it's grill and griddle combination (with stove underneath), as well as it's 14,000 BTU's per burner. Thought it would be a more powerful option for apartment and camping grilling.

However, it's advertised as a table top grill and it's not (this is even per company's statement to me). I bought this so I would not have to squat . . . not happy.
It is a pain to put together and definitely takes more than the 30 minutes it says in the instructions.
It has no grill pan/tray/cup, so the grease will just come out the bottom -- holes all along bottom.
They do not give instructions for using an adapter hose but when I contacted the company, they said one can be used -- I think they should be more clear about that issue, as that is a positive.
Has no wind blockers. Nothing is dishwasher safe.
Push button ignition but you still need matches.

Unfortunately, I threw out the packaging, so I don't think Amazon can take it back now? I can't comment on how well it works or not, because I may try to sell it on craigslist and don't want to lessen its value on there.

I am going with the classic Coleman or that Cuisinart Versastand next time . . . even if they are less powerful.

I think this would have been perfect for me, except that the manual specified in huge caps that IT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE USED AS A TABLETOP GRILL!!! I had planned to use it on a screened in porch, but even after calling customer service, could not get a "go-ahead", and had to return it. Too bad, as it really seemed to be exactly what I needed, but I was too scared by then to put it together and use it. I think the website should make it VERY PLAIN that this grill can only be used outside on the ground. Amazon did make it extremely easy to return; UPS picked it up and shipped it back, at no charge to me.

Got this grill for camping/tailgating and it has been great at both. I get a lot of complements on the looks and functionality of the grill. I've used the griddle for pancakes and eggs, the grate for sausage, brats, burgers and more!

Pros:
Looks good
Fires right up with the electric starter (hope that lasts)
Food comes out great
folds up nice and compact

Cons:
Assembly is all with thumbscrews and LOTS of them, takes longer than expected
Some parts felt very cheap

Bottomline:
Great grill that looks good and works very well for my purposes

This item shipped super fast. I was just a little disappointed with the size of the griddle area. In the picture online it seemed bigger. Also when I received the item I took it out of the package the grilling area (the black coating) was peeling off. It seems like the griddle is very durable. I am just going to call the company and see if they can send me another grill rack. I will probably be keeping the grill as I do like that it comes with the griddle as well.

I purchased 2 of the BBQs. They are cheaply made, the parts didn't always fit together correctly. One of them had rust forming on it. The sheet metal was thin and not very rigid. The hardware supplied with the BBQ was poorly made, as in some screws didn't have threads. Lucky for me I'm a jack of all trades and I had others screws. I would not recommend this heap to my worst enemy.
