Love this mirror,

I like the dome feature of this mirror because it gives me a better view of the baby. I thought it would bother me that he looked smaller or distorted, but that hasn't been the case. I can see him just fine and he's not really distorted. I had a flat mirror before this one, but it would get bumped a lot when I took baby in and out of the car seat. Once the flat mirror got out of alignment, it took two people to get it back into place. One person to sit in the driver's seat while the other adjusted the mirror so the driver could see baby. With this dome mirror, there is plenty of room for error and you can still see your baby. It doesn't need adjusting when someone taller like your husband is driving baby around. And I can be sitting in the passenger seat and see him in the mirror also.

Big, safe mirror!,
By Samanthas_mom (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews

I received hand-me-down mirrors and tested them out. I found them too small and neither of the two would anchor very well in the car. I love this mirror. I put it in and was able to use the tether feature and anchor it properly. I had my car seat inspected by the Highway Patrol and the officer said she usually recommends that parents not use mirrors because of safety issues (mirrors falling down on babies during traffic accidents, etc.) but she loved the mirror I had purchased because of the tether feature. A must have!

Great product,

I had originally purchased a small suction cup mirror, and it kept falling off the window onto my baby. I looked at the other mirrors and if you don't have a headrest, which most cars don't in the middle seat, you have to pin the mirror in place. I have leather interior and this was not an option I was willing to consider. Then I found this product which can be attached using the tether connection. That is a great option. I've had it for about a month now, and it has not moved out of place at all. It gives a great sense of security to be able to see my baby with a quick clance into the rear-view mirror. The only downside is that the mirror sticks up a little bit too high in the back window, and slightly affects my visibility when backing up.

Great, safe mirror!,
This review is from: Fisher Price AutoMirror (Baby Product)
This mirror is great! It tethers to the headrest so it stays in place, and it lightweight (it couldn't fall but if it did I know it would not hurt my baby). I can see her very well in it, whether I am in the passenger seat or the driver's seat. My baby loves to look at the colorful border and animals on the edge of the mirror, and she can even look in the mirror and see us looking at her. :)

great easy to use mirror- a must for first year,

This mirror is so easy to use- no pins to stick your seats with. Just tuck it into the back seat crevice, or there are a few other easy options depending on your car and type of seats. Unlike the little mirrors that clip on and fall off with every bump, this mirror offers a big clear view of rear facing infant and stays in place. Also is entertaining to look at for baby.

Instant peace-of-mind,
By Jeni P (San Francisco, CA USA) - See all my reviews

I looked at a couple different mirrors in the store before I chose this one, and I'm fairly happy with it - it's not perfect, but I haven't found anything better, either. It was very easy to install on my cloth seats - there's a velcro pad that sticks right to the fuzzy cloth on my back window area. There are also a hook (if you car has a tether spot) and a strap (to go around a rear headrest), so there are lots of installation options. The fisheye mirror doesn't seem to distort the baby much. My only complaint (and I'm not sure any mirror could solve this) is that he looks very tiny - I can see if his head is upright and his color's okay, but not much more detail than that. On the plus side, the baby loves looking at himself in the mirror - keeps him entertained a bit.

My twins love this,
By Twin Mom (Dayton, OH) - See all my reviews

We have twins that are 7 months old. We got these mirrors when they were only a couple weeks old. I'll never forget the first time each of them noticed themselves in the mirror. They look at themselves in these mirrors and "talk" to themselves all the time. One of our sons also loves the animals. He reaches for them all the time. My husband and I like how easily we can see them. Some people complain about the size, well it is a little small, but some on the market are just so big that they are distracting in your rear view mirror. These are much better than anything that was on the market when we had our daughter 5 1/2 years ago. With her the largest mirror we could find was about 2x3 inches and suctioned into the back window. Everytime it got warm it fell off the window. We stopped using it because it was so dangerous. We really like how these mirrors attach to the tether anchors in a car or wrap around the headrests in our minivan. Someone wrote that a police officer told her to return hers because it could come off in an accident and become a projectile. I can't imagine how it could come off if it is installed properly. Ours are very secure and tight on our headrests in our minivan. I really like the triangular piece that helps with angling the mirror properly.

Works good for me!,

I dont have a center head rest, so I had to attach it to a side headrest and then angle it towards the middle. It moves now and then, and I have to adjust it, but other than that it works great!

Not for a car without a headrest,
By A Customer
This review is from: Fisher Price AutoMirror (Baby Product)
I thought this product was a great idea. However, I found that mounting it in my Trail Blazer was a pain in the neck. My son's rear-facing car seat is in the middle of the back seat, where there is no headrest. This posed a huge problem. I could not get the mirror to stay where it needed to be without pinning it to my seat. Then, it wasn't even wide enough to see him well, and the fact that it is curved, didn't help. I would not recommend this mirror for cars without a headrest. My mom uses it in her mini-van, where there is a headrest, and it works pretty well for her.

Installed easily.
Curved mirror does the trick from almost any angle. Our boy likes it. A great buy. I originally didn't think we needed a mirror. Now that we have one I would recommend it to all parents. Fun to look back and peace of mind. |
