MUCH too small - no way is fitting my king size bed!,
By kayrenay (Alabama) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blue Ridge Home Micro Brushed Twill White Down King Comforter (Kitchen)
This purchase just arrived but when I placed it on the bed, it barely goes over the sides - NOT like the photo in the ad - and does not go over the side at all at the bottom of the bed. I measured the dimensions and this "king" comforter is 101 inches x 79 inches. I looked up what a king sized comforter should be and most sites list a king as 108-110 inches x 96-98 inches. I will be returning this tomorrow!

This review is from: Blue Ridge Home Micro Brushed Twill White Down King Comforter (Kitchen)
When this popped-up as a previous purchase that I had not reviewed, I thought I should weigh-in on this comforter. I have had this for only about one year. Much like the GEESE this down orginated from, most of the feathers (down) have MIGRATED south !!! That is, one end of the comforter is now thin with very few feathers, and the the other end where all of the feathers have migrated to is very "thick". I'm not too happy about this, but at this price, I guess I got what I paid for. Maybe I missed something about the care & feeding of this comforter. In contrast, the Eddie Bauer down comforter that I have used on the same bed at the same time, after about 10 YEARS (same care & feeding), still has all the down evenly distributed throughout. I will definitely buy a better quality down comforter to replace this one !!! I thought about buying a sewing machine and trying to redistribute and resew the blocks in this comforter (I'm pretty big on trying to make things work), but somehow that doesn't seem too cost effective - LOL !!!
