I've had this for several months now. I bought it for use on the fold-out couch for when I have guests over and also for cuddling up during movies. But, it has remained ridiculously LOUD. Yes, loud. I don't know how to explain it, but this blanket crinkles. And, it just isn't cozy. Again, hard to explain, but it just isn't. It's a bit stiff and just not cuddly. That may not be the most descriptive way to describe a blanket, but I can tell you this - I'd return it if I could.

It definitely needs to be washed. It is a little rough at first like a sleeping bag but it gets better. A few washes should make it softer and I wish it were a little bigger for our queen bed but it does what we need for now.
