The Blue Seventy Synergie Ironman Full Triathlon Wetsuit is a brand new suit model for 2008. Built from the RST technology used in the award-winning Blue Seventy Helix Wetsuit, it offers a level of performance and comfort that you would expect in a top level suit. The RST panels are used to isolate the arm from the rest of the suit, enabling better movement and greater freedom. Anatomically designed back and shoulder panels allow maximal stretch in all directions. RST Paneling - 2007 Helix technology uses a unique blend of Yamamoto materials, placed to mechanically decouple the arm from the rest of the suit. In the Synergie, the silver panels of the suit allow a partially isolated arm gusset and vastly improved range of motion. Abrasion-free collar constructed of folded soft skin neoprene, for uninhibited sighting and breathing during open water swimming. Anatomical lower leg cut, with high stretch insert, designed and tested to allow quicker exit from your suit. Pre-formed elbows and knees reduce resistance. Enlarged forearm grip panels enhance catch phase of your stroke. Swim cuffs provide better water seal, but incorporate multidirectional stretch jersey to allow for quicker removal. This reduces the infuriating catching on the wrist/hand of the suit during removal. Large buoyancy panels provide excellent body position using top quality Yamamoto materials.

The product does exactly what is claimed by the manufacturer. Water is evenly dispersed over your body, there are not pockets of unwanted cold water flowing in and out with every stroke. The consideration for shoulder and arm movement in the design are easily recognizable and functional. I don't know the advantage that the Helix model would offer, but I scored two personal PR's in this suit.
