When I read the insert of this book I thought, this was going to be a boring read... the military? All I could think about was: by the book rules, uniforms and boring and rigid characters. But boy was I totally wrong! This was one of the best romance novels that I have read in a long time. It was intriguing, exciting, emotional, passionate and romantic. There was great character development and an even better plot that pulled me in to the end.
I loved how Miss Adrianne took us to the very beginning to when Sdy and Jett first met. She took us through their journey rather than tell us. The story goes back and forth between the past and the present. Once I was hooked to the present, I was taken to the past and once I was hooked to the past, I was taken to the present. It made for a sweet ride! I was not disappointed or bored. Well... I was a little disappointed not because of the story but because of the grammatical errors I found throughout. Even though they did not take away from the story (because it was that good!), I felt there should never be any, especially with a wonderful author such as Adrianne Byrd. Don't bypass this wonderful treasure of a book.

I am fast becoming an Byrd fan. The military plot adds to the richness of the romance. This is a great love story that does not go over the top with unreal story plots. Pick up this book you will not be sorry.

One Hot Read!!,

This review is from: Blue Skies (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Ok, I will admit that when it comes to books about the military I would not even give it a second look, and although I am a new and huge fan of Ms. Byrd's work, I was still kind of skeptical until my friend (the one who got me hooked on Ms. Byrd's books) convinced me to give it try. I must say that I am glad she did.
I really enjoyed the plot and the characters of course. Sydney was on point, a woman who didn't take no mess. And loved it when she would put Jett in his place. Now Jett, that is one "hunk of a man" from the way Ms. Byrd described him, and I was just really feelin the chemisty between those two and was definitely feelin the love between Syd and her bro. One more, Ms. Byrd did not dissapoint and I encourage old and new readers of not just Ms. Byrd but any book to give a book a try. Don't just judge because of the plot of the book, read it and give it a chance, cause like I said, I am glad I did!

A good read.I purchased this on my Kindle because the price was right.I wasn't expecting all the errors. Blue Skies had just to many errors.Ms Byrd need someone to edit her work. Errors take away from the story. I haven't read Ms. Bryd work before and after this story I don't know if I will.Next time I will read reviews.

Blue SkiesBy J. Gordon (Los Angeles, CA USA) I have to say that I would have enjoyed this book written by Adrianne Byrd completely, from the first page to the last page, if it weren't for the totally unacceptable typos and other errors every few pages. They drove me to distraction! I was off of the story so many times looking for the next "error" that I was beginning to not even want to read to the end of the book. I kept wondering, who did they pick to edit this book? I need a job and the publishing company can hire me.

On The Wings Of Love,

A chance meeting brings air force fighter pilots Sydney 'Serious 'Garret and James 'Jett' Colton together, and the instant attraction is undeniable. But a Vegas marriage and several misunderstandings would send them on their separate ways.
Three years later when Sydney's plane is shot down, Jett is determined to find and rescue the love of his life-his wife. Can love really conqure all? In the case of Sydney and Jett, yes it can! Adrianne Byrd's Blue Skies, will keep you turning the pages until the end. The interaction between the characters is so engrossing you can't put the book down. The sexual tension is palatable and the loving hot! In the past military themed books have never appealed to my literary taste but I must admit I found Blue Skies quite 'tasty'. And so will you!

Adrianne Byrd has done it again! "Blue Skies" was another thrilling romance novel about to very talented airmen! Her 'At Your Service' novel told a wonderful story of new love, lost love and found again love. As usual her characters were funny and intellegent all in one. She allowed her characters in the story to make real mistakes and suffer for those mistakes.
Thanks Adrianne another wonderful novel! Keep up the good work!

Another good one! (of course). I can definitely see this on played on the small, medium or big screen. Adrianne got me towards the end. At first I was like no no no no no noooooo! LOL! Also that damn Nicey one minute I was hmmm ok. The next I was like I need for you to take a damn seat...you hater! And Jett.....phew! The way Adrianne descibed his eyes. He had a lot going on with him. At times through out the book my heart went out to hime. I liked Syd too. She tired to be all tough and act like she didn't need anybody. Adrianne had me damn near tearing out through out the book. It would be interesting to read Jett's brother's story (he seems just as complex as Jett) also Syd's brother too. This book had a great mix of everything.
Keep up the good work!

I loved this book, I mean I was worried in the begining because I think Military life is a "whole different" world, and hard for us cilivans to understand. What I truly love and respect about Adrianne is the fact that she made a "love story " that happen to take place in the Military! All I kept thinking about is this would be a great movie, Syd was strong, knew what she wanted had everything planned. Colton was funny and silly it was just a perfect balance for them to meet, fight, and fall hard in love. This action/movie/book, was a true test about pride, love, and forgivenece. Ms Bryd I Salute you.
