5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutly Orgasmic
Tori is the best musicican in the world and Blue Skies, in traditon of Raspberry Swirl and the remix of Crucify keeps the beat going.

3.0 out of 5 stars Incredible song, but not worth buying both CDs.
"Blue Skies" is just another beautiful, haunting orgasmic Tori song to me, I don't know who Brian Tanner is, nor do I really care. I'm just a Tori collector.

If you're like me, buy either part 1 or Part 2. They're both equally euphoric, but Blue Skies is the only song . Unless your into mixing (is that even the term?) the price is, in my opinion, too...

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty good remixes to a really great track, February 5, 2004

i definitely like this EP better than the first blue skies EP (blue cover). here's a rundown of the tracks:

radio edit: the version most of us already know and love. a superb track. bt really shows off his strong songwriting craftsmanship, as he completely reworks tori's rambling extended improvisation. incredibly well-structured and concise.

the rabbit in the moon mix is pretty catchy. features more extensive keyboard sounds than the others. retains the bird sounds and some other distinctive sounds from bt's delphinium days mix.

the deep dish phunk mix is less orchestrated, more dance-y than the rabbit in the moon mix. there are less vocals and they feel less integrated, but it's a very catchy track, although it rambles a bit and is a little too long.

as can be expected, the deep dish dub is very similar to the phunk mix but w/out the vocals. actually not a bad track since the vocals weren't that well-integrated in the phunk mix anyway.

the last remix, by bt, is quite good, prob. the best track on this EP other than the original. high energy, well-paced, lots of great blips and bleeps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Take me to the sky, April 14, 2000
This review is from: Blue Skies (Audio CD)
I don't have the singles, so I don't know about all the mixes. But thanks to a bootleg I have a few ( Paul Van Dyk, "BT's Liquid Oxygen Mix" and Rabbit In The Moon ), and they are wonderful. The lyrics are quite nice for a techno/house/dance song. Nice to see a change from time to time. I really like Tori her remixes. I really hope she'll do some work with BT again.

Unless your into mixing (is that even the term?) the price is, in my opinion, too steep to purchase both. I only listen the original version (which is on both C.D.'s) and I wish someone had given me this advice before I spent close to thirty bucks! It would have left me money to buy more Tori singles. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars BT vs Tori, January 15, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Blue Skies (Audio CD)
The first time I heard Blue Skies (Radio Edit) was in Summer of 1996. They played it on the radio and it became popular instantly. Then you'd heard it in clubs, parties, and dances. It became legend to some and mostly just a great tune to listen to.
First of all, I NEVER would have imagined BT and Tori hooking up to do this song. That was the first shock, then finding out Sarah McLaughlin did the same thing, was the second shocker.
I've always liked Sarah and Tori since they first got acknowledgment here. BT existed in 1996 for me, with the Blue Skies remix. I started researching him and trying to locate his CDs and mixes after that.
So far now it's 2002 and I have gotten all of his songs, including bootleg copies and live concerts he's done all over the place.
I've become quite the trance/rave/techno freak now. (I also own all of Tori's and Sarah's CDs as well as their DVD concerts now.)
BT is and has been one of my favorite DJ artists. He's impressed me with his style, his knowledge of musical instruments, also the fact that he's from the U.S., and his taste in musical artists that share his same passion in creating such great songs and remixes.
I've gotten into Oakenfold, PVD, Orbital, RITM, AK 1200, Delerium, DJ Tiesto, Keoki, Sandra Collins, Noel Sanger, and various artists of trance/techno old school and house.
I have all the remixes for Blue Skies now and I have to say each is different and sounds great. I recommend this CD for parties or for great background music anywhere. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm not a Tori fan., July 6, 2000

Every other review on this album seems to have been written by a Tori fan.

I'm not one. In fact, until her last two albums, she was less than good. Maybe even terrible.

However, if you're in the rave scene, you've heard this track; it's definitely one of the best and most popular out there, but it has been played out. Since you don't hear it at parties anymore, may I personally highly reccomend it?
