One cannot spend *all* of one's time listening to Alice n Chains & similar gothic gloom. Here is a splendid and engaging album by a new voice that manages to be upbeat without being smarmy. Worldly yet optimistic, Chris Butcher's debut album provides a fine acoustic-laden journey to a brighter place, displaying all the while a considerable range of vocal and instrumental talent. A must hear for those weary of world-weariness.

A wonderful mellow, easy to listen to CD. Very relaxing yet at the same time upbeat. A feel good, make you smile & sing along to kinda thing. Hard to catergorize. Bluesy, yet very much a rock & roll thing going on here. Can't wait to hear the next one!!!

Sensational,uplifting groov'in music, October 2, 1999

A new sound that is long overdue and yet needed for people to feel the groove and dance. Today, much of the music out there is catchy phrases that don't even make any sense. Songs that have meaning like on this album give people a chance to collect themselves and open themselves to new opportunities. I recommend this great CD!
