Tish transfers from public school to a ritzy academy where she meets blind and rich Bryan, who has a Lincoln Continental with a chauffeur and a reader named Gabe. Tish goes out with Bryan but falls in love with Gabe. She slowly learns how easily people can be hurt and how everyone has troubles. An easy-going story with characters who come alive and a wisecracking heroine. Superior to most of its kind, it's realistic, sweet and genuinely funny.
