5.0 out of 5 stars Really good and adictave game
O.k. so the game has its weak points, but it is somthing to keep you busy. It only takes about ten minuets to get used to the control of it. It is also one of the games that you have to play about 15 minuets to get into. once your into it you'll never stop playing it.

4.0 out of 5 stars First generation success, January 15, 2000

Keeping in mind that this is a first generation game for DREAMCAST I found the game playable and informative as far as the capabilities of the dreamcast. Comparing it to other first generation games it is very good. Though slightly simple for todays gamer it is still great as far as control, and gaming fun goes. The graphics are great as is the story line. The monsters needed a little more variety but still a good game for DREAMCAST.

I would recommend this one. The plot kept me interested through out the entire game. It's set up like a mystery/sci-fi novel. You have to solve puzzles or clues before you can move on. When you finish it you feel quite satisfied. I gave it four stars because I hear that the Dreamcast is capable of better graphics. It took me around 20 hours to complete and I recommend this title to all those who enjoy action/adventure games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Resident Evil for Dreamcast, December 19, 1999

Now whether or not you will enjoy this game depends probably on how much you enjoy Resident Evil. Blue Stinger is very similar to Resident Evil, which is why i like it. The weapons are awesome, the graphics are great, and it makes you think. I haven't completed the game yet, but when I rented it I spent about 6 straight hours playing it. So it does take a while to beat, which is a very good thing. Many people complain about the fact that the characters mouths are out of sync with the sound. WHO CARES! If thats what you are really looking for in a game, then you got problems. But on occasion the camera angles do mess up like when you are in a corner or something. Then you may not be able to see your enemies or it may spin and get you feelin quite queasy. All in all, this game rox.

2.0 out of 5 stars You want a farce? You've got nothing but farce in Blue Stinger., May 12, 2008
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Blue Stinger (Video Game)
I have played few games that were as funny as this one. Why? Take a bunch of game developers who hated the average controls of survival horror games, get a bunch of inept writers to scribble down a derivative plot with a nice hook and horrible dialogue, music composers who aspire to be better than John Williams, game designers who played WAY too many Super Mario games and anyone in marketing or professional game reviewing to pass the game off as a Survival Horror game and you've got a painfully hilarious game on your hands. This game doesn't do Sega any justice and don't believe the lie that this was their first Survival Horror game, they made their first two years before this on the Saturn and that game, Deep Fear, was art compared to this. I felt absolutely lied to when I played this game thinking I was in for the scare of my life when I found myself rolling on the ground after witnessing some of the silliest character models, inconsistent soundtrack, awkward dialogue, non-existent atmosphere, incomprehensible plot and obnoxious controls I've ever played on a DreamCast game. Your characters run so slow you'd think they had weights tied to their ankles, but their steps look so played out it's almost like they're waddling away from danger! You'll kill monsters who, despite being four legged monstrosities, will literally sprinkle you with gold coins! The overly dramatic music will play on and loop over and over again when nothing is happening! You want a farce? You've got nothing but farce in Blue Stinger.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Critics Were Right This Time, January 12, 2002
This review is from: Blue Stinger (Video Game)
This time, I have to say, "I wish I would have listened to the cridics." This game was totally overrated by the pros. I expected a fun game, with lots of action. But, I found it was hard for me to interact with the game because of the (not so good) control concept. Example: when using the look key "L", as soon as you release the "D" butten, the view springs back to the direction your facing. Which can seem like a "Tug of War" match (against the computer) when your trying to zero in on something you're not directly facing.
And I'm sorry, but the characters are dorky looking and that really has alot to do with taking the game serious. It has a strong plot and you've gotta be this goofy looking guy who can't even jump.
If it had controls like the "Tomb Raider" games and a plot more like the "Mario" or "Zelda" games, or mabye even "Double Dragon", I'd have given it 4-stars.

This game is not quite as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. I have games in my collection that I have tried to force myself to finish and couldn't do it. This is not one of those. It keeps you fairly interested, although it is simple, and it is something to play while waiting for code name veronica to hurry up and get here

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT START FOR SEGA!, January 3, 2000

In the middle of last year Sega released the Dreamcast. Now I am a veteran of video games and am faithful to Sega but they have seriously screwed up with the Saturn. Now their redemption comes in the form of the Dreamcast with an awesome lineup of Sonic Adventure and Blue Stinger. Blue stinger is a highly addictive survival game. The game is a tough one but thats how we like it. The graphics are smooth with a rare bout of slowdown. Any fan of games such as Resident Evil and movies like Mimic this is one game you don't want to miss. WARNING: GAME NOT FOR FAINT OF HEART=BLOOD&GORE!
