Person at his most soulful and romantic,

This has been on my disc players since I got it as the veteran Houston Person is in absolutely wonderful form. playing with warmth and soul and exhibiting a touch of vibrato in his tone, he with a wonderful rhythm section, is absolutely sublime on the ballads and standards here. The backing trio of Richard Wyands, bassist ray Drummor and drummer Grady Tate are models of taste in their accompaniment so that one almost forgets they are there.

Houston Person is so absolutely outstanding in creating that smooth, sensual mood with his velvet saxophone! I know he's been around a while, but I am just "discovering" him and his phenomenal sound!! This CD has just encouraged me to buy 5 others, and not one of them has disappointed me!
