Finally, one of the best vocal groups ever now have a worthwhile compilation! All tracks are also remastered, and sound crisp and clean. This 2-CD set contains all The Moonglows' best from their years with Chess records, plus classic early sides from the Champagne and Chance labels too. Some alternate takes and previously unreleased tracks are also included. If you love vocal group harmony, you'll be hard-pressed to do better than The Moonglows! They were definitely one of the best ever.

If you are a fan of Doo Wop or "50's group" R&B this CD is a must have! Of the several hundred CD's in my collection, this Compilation of Moonglows songs is my favorite CD. The Moonglows were one of the groups who played a part in ushering in rock 'n roll, and as such, they are considered royalty to many fans of early rock n roll. This CD has Rock, Doo Wop, R&B, smooth ballads, it is in short, awesome.

One of the best of the the doo wop era, They sang the beautiful hybrid blend of Pop/R&B/Doo wop as did the Flamingos, Five Keys,Penguins,Five Satins and Harptones .This is a stellar aggregation of their great songs.As a Moonglows afficionado, I do note two ommissons:The hauntingly beautiful "My Imagination" and their uniquely harmonic, "Gee".Otherwise this remains a"must have" CD for lovers of this music.

This collection has almost everything the Moonglows recorded for Chess records in Chicago during the 50's to early 60's. For any person who ever became a doo wop fan, they must have this record. One of the big surprises is the performance of MamaLoochee featuring the debut of a young Marvin Gaye on lead vocal. Harvey Fuqua and Bobby Lester are magnificent in all presentations. I cannot say more.

my husband and I have been married for 28 years and I had been looking for a while for the song blue moon and found it in this cd it's always been our song so glad I could find it for him for our wedding anniversary!

excellent collection ......personally i bought it for 12 months of the year and mama loocie since im a huge marvin gaye fan.
