I think I knew what I was going to see when I started watching this animated feature, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't that schlocky. I don't really think of it as a movie, but it deserves that label as much as any other of its type. This type of animation, also called Machinima, is based on an early version of Halo. In essence you are watching a recorded version of staged video game sequences with voiceovers. The game backdrop gives the dialog a place to live. Burnie Burns wrote the script and directed the movie. He also performed one of the voices (the soldier, Church). Although the video game avatars are very stiff (not animated?), as could be expected from this decade-old version of Halo, the dialog is the real star of the show. I plan to watch the other versions available to see how the series evolves. Good show. It's worth watching. In fact, you could almost watch it with your eyes closed and get as much out of it as I did. Enjoy.

By the way, who is picking the tags on these movies? "Human centipede" - whatever that is, I didn't see any. "Nudity" - you've got to be kidding.

p.s. I wish that Bernie was writing for Saturday Night Live. It would then become the hilarious show it used to be. Check him out on Wikipedia.

This series was great when it first came out on redvsblue.com and it still makes me laugh 11 years later. It should be noted that this is a show that was made from a 'Mature' rated game, so the language is very mature. However, these characters talk the way regular people talk and that's all they are.
I'm glad Amazon has given this to Prime members for free. Now, I can finally commit the blasphemy of streaming Halo through my Playstation.

It isn't for everyone but if you like video games, have a sense of humor and aren't offended by a little blue language you will enjoy it.

Being a long time fan coming back to watch from the beginning you can feel the rough edges in this production.

Over time and later seasons the language evens out and the plot deepens. However this is still an amazing series.

Not necessarily for the high brow or those that get upset at vulgar language. If you can take a joke Red vs Blue is awesomely funny.

For those of you who have no idea what this is; it is years worth of short videos of a internet web series compiled into one long DVD. The graphics are bad because it was a campy little production made with a bunch of friends over NINE years ago. The series was never meant to be taken seriously. Overall this isn't the funniest volume and the series is not as fun since all the mystery is gone; however, it for a certain audience: hardcore Halo gamers. They should have ended the series a while back but they still make money and who blames them? Gotta give what the people want.

Way back the only way to watch these videos was downloading them and opening the file with quicktime. Man that was annoying; who uses quicktime?

Cool fact: The whole talking concept stems from a Halo bug where if you stared all the way down the head would pop up and emulate a talking head.

I remember watching this series ages ago, thinking it was the funniest freaking thing I've ever seen. Like most nostalgic shows, I never should have done it the dishonor of rewatching it. It sort of lost its charm for me.

Just the compilation of all the YouTube videos from when this game was all the rage. Only really funny to people who played Halo quite a bit.
