5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best
I am a huge fan of yugioh and let me tell you, this pack is one of the best packs (in my opinion). Anyway, this pack comes with some of the most useful cards any duelist could use, like Raigeki (which destroys all monsters on your opponent's side of the field!), Swords of Revealing Light (stops your opponent from attack for 3 turns!), and the mother of 'em all, Exodia...

3.0 out of 5 stars You can do better
If you want to buy Yugioh cards, you probobaly should stay away from these. Legend of Blue-Eyes was the first set, but the cards kinda suck. For the die-hard duelist, the promise of perhaps getting a raigeki or blue-eyes white dragon may be tantalizing, but the chances are not very good. My expierience with these is that you often get sub-par rares (Celtic Gaurdian,...

My expierience with these is that you often get sub-par rares (Celtic Gaurdian, Gravedigger Ghoul) and just downright ... commons. If you are looking for firepower for a deck, look elsewhere. If you are a collector, and don't care if you're cards could get the tar beat out of them by freakin Feril Imp, then go ahead and buy these.

Parents, I know 99% of you didn't understand a word of what I said above, so I'll lay it out for you too. If your child plays the yugioh game they will be more satisfied with any other booster (Metal Raiders, Magic Ruler, and so on and so forth). If your child is simply a collector, they might be perfectly happy with these.

This game is educational

1. Making friends
2. Adding, Subtracting, and Thinking
3. Having fun

Durability 2/5

They can get damaged easily

buy card sleeves

they are only $5.00

they can prevent $50.00 worth of damage

~~~ABOUT THE CARDS~~~
There are staples like
Pot of Greed
Dark Hole
Raigeki
Swords of Revealing Light
Monster Reborn
There is cards called Exodia. Exodia can win you the match when you have it in your hand.
There are fusion where two monsters combine.
This pack may seem good , but it is risky. You always get weak common magic cards that do nothing special.Common monsters that are weak and have no effect. Most of the rares and holos are just useless fusions and monster that you need to sacrafice for that are weak.
~~~Ratios~~~

rarity/identification/this many of these in this many packs/value

Commons/Not Shiny/8;1/worth $0.25 - $1.00

Rares/Silver Lettering/5;6/worth $2.00 - $5.00

Super Rare/Holo Picture/1;6/worth $5.00 - $20.00

Ultra Rare/Holo Everywhere/1;12/worth $20.00 - $50.00

Secret Rare/Glitter/1;228/worth $40.00 - $60.00

The ratios are based on how the companys put the cards in the packs.You are not garenteed a certain rarity if you buy a certain amount of packs.

I really like this Booster pack, and liked it WAY before I knew you could could get a Blue- Eyes or Raigeki from it. My brother got this booster first, and you could get some mean cards from it!!! As the seasoned Duelists say 'It's Time To DUEL!!!'

Mostly, you wont get a good card. The only ones that are rare and good are Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, and all 5 peices of Exodia. Although you can get into classics sence it is the first booster. It will give you a boost in your deck. Also, this is one of the few that have Exodia. But I also suggest you buy deck protectors besause of natural disasters that will damage your cards and a deck box to hold it.

2.0 out of 5 stars *sigh* I've given up on booster packs..., August 13, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Blue Eyes White Dragon Booster 5-Pack (Toy)
Ok, I know the sound of getting awesome cards like exodia and blue eyes from this booster sounds cool, but the odds are slim to none.

Ok, maybe every other person gets a few good cards from this booster (I just bought a single pack instead of this amazon deal), but I didn't get a single good card. I immediatly set aside all of the cards from this booster away from my dueling deck.

I've never had very good luck with booster packs (mind I haven't bought a lot so maybe I'm wrong) but I'd suggest all you new duelists (and especially collectors) go for structure deck that work together or buy rare singles from comic stores.

(Ok, for all the parents going "whaaaa?") Parents, get your kids the Yu-gi-oh Master Collection 1 from amazon. Yes, it costs more than this deal but your kids will get great cards "off-the-bat" and you'll end up saving money by keeping them from buying 100s of dollars of packs and then setting aside most of them cause they're bad. Savvy?

These cards are pretty good. You can get ones like blue eyes and exodia but i would reccomend Pharo's servant. Although its slightly more expensive it has rarer cards like buster blader and jinzo.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best booster..., November 30, 2004

Honestly, there are way better boosters (i.e. Invasion of Chaos, Ancient Sanctuary, Rise of Destiny). Don't get me wrong about the pack, but it isn't that good. All the commons are useless, one rare is worth putting in (Pot of Greed) and others are holo (9). Soon we will be getting Dark Beginning 1, and this pack will be outdated, though some of the cards in this pack will cost more.

Pros
-First Booster!

Cons
-No good commons
-Much better packs; better commons in those packs
-Terrible rares (Pot of Greed is best)
-Putting useless cards as holo.

Rating:

Commons: 0.00000000000000000000000000001/5
Rares: 2/10 (Pot of Greed is the 2)
Holos: 5 (Not reliable)
