Used this to clean some rust pitting out of an old handgun. Nice and tacky consistency for an overnight soak on flat surfaces, but needs to be rinsed off after application. Didn't find it to be overwhelmingly better than using regular mil-grade CLP, though. But reasonably priced and useful for some applications.

I have used a variety of gun cleaners. This cleaned the barrel bores better than any cleaner that I have used. The bores look like they did when I first got the guns. The age of my guns range from a WWII Japanese Arisaka (6.5mm) rifle that my uncle brought back from the Pacific, to my first .22 Marlin rifle purchased in 1960 to my most recent acquisition a refurbished Springfield Armory M1 Garand Model D Sniper rifle.

I refinished and re-blued the Marlin by first getting rid of the rust on the barrel using the Blue Wonder Gun Cleaner with '0000' steel wool. Then, I removed some of the bluing using the Blue Wonder Gun Cleaner with a ScotchBrite pad. I reblued the barrel of my old .22 using Blue Wonder Gun Black. After the Blue Wonder treatment the bore was truly mirror clean, and the reblued barrel looked very close to factory original.

I have been very pleased with the Blue Wonder Gun Cleaner. The bores of all my guns are mirror bright and shine like new. By the way, don't forget to use a good gun oil (I am partial to M-Pro 7 Gun Oil LPx) to keep the bores from rusting after the Blue Wonder cleaning.

The best gun cleaner I've used. Been cleaning guns since seventh grade. I'm now sixty three years old and wish I had this years ago.

I have used this for bore cleaning for over two years not--rifle and handgun cleaning. I shoot somewhere between 6.000 and 10.000 rounds a year if not more. I wish I were rich enough to afford a camera attachment on my borescope, because then I could show you that it really does clean right down to the metal, when used as directed on the back of the tube. I clean while at the range and the barrel is warm. My only gripe is that the tube makes it sloppy to use. If the weather is warm at all, and you dip your bore brush into the tube which I think is the best way to apply gels to brushes, you need one hand to hold your cleaning rod up so the gel does not drip off, and one hand to keep the tube upright so the gel does not ooze out, and one hand to put the top back on. The alternative is to use the flip top which allows you to work the squirter in the cap, but the squirter is pretty sloppy too, especially when trying the be economical applying it to the smaller brushes like the 6mm or .223. The fix is easy, Just clean out one of your Sinclair solvent bottles and fill it up--with BW--then you can control all the above with ease. I just got irritated because I wanted to use up the old solvents in my handguns and use the BW in my rifle bores and slopped the stuff all over the bench............but now the world is a happy place again..................................:)

Have used it in my business for about 4 years. Excellant metal cleaner when metal has been warmed. I recommend its use.

I've used over 30 cleaners and thus far I am most happy with this. I like how it is not toxic, not a petrol product, a gel form, and not nearly as much of a skin irritant. I can tell you how much I like it but the best way to know is to do this. Clean your firearm with your normal cleaning solution, and then clean it with Blue Wonder. I would but money you will be surprised to find that the Blue Wonder is removing gunk that the other product did not. As a chemical cleaner, the product works very well. It's important to use a GOOD protectant or protectant/lubricant as this product removes all petrol/silicone/polymer from the surface...in other terms, once the surface is chemically clean, you have to use a product to protect it as it is otherwise going to be prone to oxidation. It does a good job at removing rust, and I've used it on stainless, blued, polished, brushed, polymer, and painted finishes without any issues at all. If you are using it on a paint that isn't one of the paints designed for firearms, you may want to research it further as I cannot speak to its safety. But overall, I find this to be an excellent product.
