Pamela York's trio offers a full sound of rich jazz music. This is a CD that you'll enjoy listening to as background music during dinner, while you read, vacuum the house, or during a party. Among the many excellent tunes on the CD, one of the original pieces Pam composed and performs is amazing (you might think that two pianists were performing simultaneously to make the recording). I've had the opportunity to see Pamela York perform live and it was an awesome sight to see such a young, small framed gal creating such enourmously powerful jazz. Try the CD - you'll love it!

This is a fantastic cd. The mix of bass (John Clayton), drums (Jeff Hamilton), and piano (Pamela York of course) is my favorite. They create a beautiful balance. If you appreciate light blues and jazz you will love this cd.

Pamela is very well known in the San Diego area and this CD, her first, should widen her exposure to the rest of the world. Her rhythm section, made up of John Clayton and Jeff Hamilton is the best and the three of them work together perfectly. The recording uses a new recording technique that gives it a superior dynamic range and is very clear. The songs are well balanced between standards and originals and she even sings on one number. This is a winner!
