He is proud of his name, for Widarma means "good man." From the time he was a child, he liked Balinese art so much that he decided to attend a handicrafts school in Batubulan. "I loved going to school because I could learn everything about silver, metals, textiles, wood carving and design," he recalls. "And everything was related to my beloved island." When he finished his studies, he worked for six months making candleholders. "I liked it a lot. I love creativity, but I thought that this was not my destiny so I quit.
