Excellent headset,

I'm very happy with this headset - I frequently review technology products for a column I write, and this is a product I was happy to actually purchase. The sound is clear (perhaps *slightly* tinny at times, but not often), and it connects wonderfully fast to my phone (a Cingular 8125). I particularly like the charger - it's small enough to be readily portable, so I don't have to lug yet another plug around. I can plu the charging stalk into the same USB-style charger my phone uses - two-in-one! Or, either of them can charge from my laptop, or even, I discovered, an iPod power brick. Nice. The headset is simple to operate. If I have one complaint, it's that the volume buttons are a bit touchy to hit without hitting the middle button and hanging up on someone, which means I'm often too scared to use the mute function (which requires a quick up/down volume tap sequence). That's maybe a quarter star off; otherwise, it's one of the nicer headsets I've used.

Excellent - works great with LG VX8300,

This review is from: BlueAnt X3 Micro Bluetooth Headset (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The x3 performs great with my Verizon LG vx8300, including controlling the voice command features. [Note: I also have a Blueant Supertooth II which has some compatability problems with the LG vx8300, so i'm happy to see that the X3 doesn't have the same problems]
Design is great. It's very light and compact, the ear hook fits me fine and makes the phone quite secure. I guess it could get a little uncomfortable during long usage, but it's not bad. Performance is good. Some LG vx8300 users have reported some echo. I experienced it the first time I used it too, but was able to elminate it through adjustments to the volume of both my phone and the X3. I'm able to hear loud and clear, and my callers do not report any issues with voice quality. The multiple charging options are an excellent feature. I like the triple-use flexible "cord" that attaches to a USB port, the AC adapter and car adapter. All in all, I think it's an excellent product and a great value. Highly recommended.

Annoying Static,

I agree with other reviews about the design features and charging options but those things come secondary if static over takes them. The static is real even the phone is only inches away from the unit. Unlike my earlier Bluetooth devices this one has really short range...like 3 feet. I can not live with static so this one is going back.Sorry Blueant.

i checked so many sites looking for reviews on a good bluetooth, with the options ranging to almost 50 different kinds it was hard to choose. But i found the reviews for this Australian brand to be outstanding. I didn't want to spend a grip like some of the other bluetooth headsets out there for an easy $90-140. I charged it 4 hrs as indicated by the manual, paired up to my sony k800i in a matter of seconds. easy as pie. i was able to make very clear calls and the other party hears me perfectly. which is very important to me. i recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, small and long battery life bluetooth.

I've used this headset for over a month now with my SE w810i and I've had zero problems with it. No static on my end and no one I ever talk to has any complaints, either. I bought a second headset for my wife's Nokia 6682 and she loves it, as well.
The battery on this lasts quite a long time, too. I use the headset on my way to work, on my way home and when I'm out and about on weekends - about 4 hours a day; and I have yet to charge it.

I bought this item on seeing many positive reviews here and on other sites. I liked the design, easy access to keys and ability to charge the device in a different ways.
As advertised the device connected effortlessly to my LG VX8300 (Verizon) phone. Unfortunately, the voice reception quality was very poor. I had to speak in a very loud voice -- even in a quiet room -- for it to correctly transmit my voice to the phone. In the car with the windows rolled up and radio turned off -- I was unable to get it to pick up what I said. The ear clip design is poor and my piece became loose within a day of use. I may have received a defective piece -- since my negative review appears to be an outlier. I wanted to share my experience for the benefit of people purchasing this item.

Decent Headset,

I used the headset for about 2 weeks and went back to my Ericcson that is also average. I would probably still be using the headset if it weren't for the earhook loosening up and now the earpiece just falls off my ear. I think it might have gotten too hot staying in the truck and the rubber gave way. It's basically unusable now unless I want to hold it to my ear and that kinda defeats the purpose. I don't want to hassle with returning or calling customer service. I don't have patience for that.
pros: 1. I like being able to charge via USB and it comes with home and car or via laptop chargers making that a big plus. 2. Pairing was a breeze 3. Seemed clear for the person I was talking to. 4. Plenty of attachments and charging addons Con: 1. Earloop loosened and made the device unusable. 2. Funky neckstrap 3. Earbud pops off too easy. Got lucky I thought I lost it 4. Volume wasn't loud enough for me. I found myself pushing it into my ear to hear clearly.

I tried to do as much research as I could for a bluetooth headset, and I think I picked a great one. First, it fits my ear! I was very worried that it would not and end up with hassles. Second, it is very easy to use. I can hear people without a issues, and my friends and family have not had a problem with hearing me. The voice dialing works well too, except when I don't enunciate. The volume buttons are the best, but once you set the volume it remembers and you don't have to set it again. The only thing my friends rag me on is the blue lights that flash on the unit. There are instructions on how to turn it off, I just haven't had the time to read...

Not Worth the Money !!,

I did a lot of research before buying a bluethooth device.
This one looked like a decent one, i bought if for $39.99. Few good reviews and three chargers and nice look made me buy this one. I had this unit for more than two months now. I would say I am not so impressed with it. Pros: 1> Looks Decent 2> Fits nice on the ears and light weight. 3> Connect to all phones i have tried so far. Cons: 1> The sound quality is mediocre. It sounds like you are playing a Audio Cassette. Lots of my friends complained they can't hear me. 2> The range is hardly two feet or so. I have to hold my phone in my hands while talking with bluetooth. If i put the phone in my pocket the voice has noticeable noise. 3> The advertised USB/Car/Wall charger are not three different devices, it is a USB charger that plugs in to car charger or wall charger, so you can only use one at a time. In sort, the product is not as advertised, it is over priced, get this if you can buy it for $ 19 bucks, anything more is way too much for this one.

The hands free set is pretty decent, comes with all the methods of charging you can ever need and it looks good also the sound is loud and clear.
I did find it to have a bit of a learning curve though just beause you need to learn to adjust the volume just right for it to work for both ends of the conversation. I had people complain about an echo until i turned down either the cell phone volume or X3 volume just enough for the echo to not be heard. I also used it as a skype device through my computer and it worked perfectly well but the volume adjustment need to be made to elimiate the echo on the other side of the convo. |
