updated.......02/01/2012....seller refunded money and paid $160 repair bill to flush system and replace thermostat,it took some time but they did stand behind their product in the end, guess it works on some,my car has a thermostat located at the bottom of the engine this my be why their product clogged up the system.

Followed instructions to the letter, results heater stopped working, local shop says product messed up Thermostat,
and that has to replaced then vehicle can be retested for other damage such as heater core, etc.bottom line use at your own
risk.I will now see if company stands behind warranty or refund to help cover the large bill from repair shop

Update........12/23/2011

I contacted the seller USA Sealants and ask about them standing behind their product, got an email saying they did and would refund my money and their Tech department was waiting to talk to my repair shop,my repair shop called and got an answering machine, they left a message...no one returned their call.one week later I sent another email and received a reply that they where so sorry and would refund
my purchase price and wanted a copy of my repair bill, they would pay that also......well I filled out their claim form and sent a copy of my repair bill.......guess what,I just got a whopping credit of $5.24 to my Amazon account,I paid $34.95 and now the product is no longer available on Amazon,so you be the judge about this company and them standing behind their products.....I will update this if anything new happens....I usually do not write reviews but this is just wrong in so many ways

UPDATE.........01/26/2012

Amazon finally refunded the full purchase price of the product,I got a promise to cover the repair bill from USA Sealants if I sent a copy of the repair bill and filled out a claim form....that was done on 12/23/2011....still no refund of repair bill caused by their product.34 days an counting

Was ready to call the salvage yard for my '98 Rodeo V6 -- over 220K miles and blew the head gasket. Had MAJOR coolant leak. Couldn't drive 5 miles without overheating and losing more than a quart of coolant. Blowing white smoke/steam from tailpipe and firing unenevenly. White froth on the oil filler cap and dipstick (from coolant contaminating the oil.) Figured $35 bucks was worth a shot, since there was NO WAY I would spend $1500 to replace the head gaskets and/or intake manifold gaskets. Chose this product because all the mechanics I asked said "Blue Devil - Yellow Label" is the gold standard. Wasn't sure how to pull the thermostat and bypass the heater core myself (which is required for the yellow label version.) The WHITE LABEL version is very simple - pour, idle and go! I did flush the coolant first to be sure it was clean as possible, although that's not required. Took about 1/2 hour to stop blowing smoke, then the idle evened out. I let the engine idle for about 3 hours, instead of 50 mins per the instructions, since I knew I had a major leak. I also flushed the oil 2X afterward, to be sure all the contaminated muck was out of the system. It has been over 2 weeks and I have not lost a drop of coolant! Engine runs nice & cool and idles nice and even now! Half-expected this wouldn't work but it worked like a charm!! Great stuff -- especially if you're not up for monkeying with the thermostat and flushing repeatedly to remove all anti-freeze!

The GM 3.1L engine is notorious for bad head /intake gaskets. I have had 2 replaced in mine to the tune of $1200 each including machined heads and shop checked for cracks. Well at 190,000 miles, I blew another - huge white cloud behind the car, temp fluctuating alarmingly, losing coolant fast, snot all over oil filler cap, reserve coolant reservoir full of foam, and finally overheat. Couldn't believe it - there was no way I was paying for another gasket job, especially with the high miles. Time to blow the savings on a different car. For the heck of it i googled various liquid head gasket fixes. The thermostat is REALLY hard to replace on the GM 3.1L engine, so the Blue Devil Pour-n-Go intrigued me because you don't need to remove the thermostat to use. Picked up a bottle at O'Reilly's. Next day I topped off radiator and started engine cold as directed. Poured in BD slowly as directed. To make sure it was slow, I punched 2 small holes in the seal of the container so there was absolutely no way I could pour it too fast. After 10 minutes, the temp gauge was topping out so I turned off engine. Checked upper hose & relief valve - no coolant -much of it went to the engine - I assume it was the original coolant that hadn't had a chance to mix with the BD yet. Topped off coolant again & started car back up. After 10 minutes the temp gauge was creeping to the red & I figured the gasket was too far gone for BD to seal. I literally sat down in the seat to turn the car off and the needle took a small downward jump. I watched it and it slowly went down to the 1/4 mark and stayed there! I know the temp was NEVER at that point since my last gasket replacement 2 years ago! Anyway, after another 40 minutes the giant white clouds from the exhaust were GONE. Turned off and the next day I flushed the engine.Read more ›

I bought a used 1999 Mercury Villager but found out that it burned coolant and the tailpipe was always wet. So I suspected that it had a blown head gasket. I estimated it would cost over $1000 to fix and that does not guarantee it is a permanent fix. So I went online and did a lot of research on alternative solutions other than replacing the head gasket. BlueDevil was just one of the many brands that has a head gasket sealer, but it is priced mid-range rather than the cheapest or the most expensive. It was also what the salesman at Autozone recommended, so I decided to give it a try. There are two types of BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer. Pour-n-go and the mechanic strength which has to be drained out afterward. I chose the pour-n-go because I just replaced the thermostat and knew that it was a pain to take out, and I just replaced the coolant as a result. So why go through the trouble of taking out the thermostat and replacing the coolant again? The pour-n-go was perfect for me. and it would also continue to work because it doesn't have to be drained out.

I didn't have high hopes that the BlueDevil would work. But I followed the direction on the bottle. You have to drain some of the coolant if your radiator is at or near full before adding the BlueDevil. You really should drain a little more than the volume of the entire bottle. I didn't do that and it spilled out a little on the radiator. The direction says run heat at max and let the engine idle for 50 minutes. I didn't think 50 minutes were necessary since it was like 90 degrees the day I put in the BlueDevil. The car started with a wet exhaust, but within 20-30 minutes, the exhaust began to get dryer and dryer. Before the 50 minutes were up, the van was running without any moisture out of the exhaust.
