My line of work is repairing money counting machines. As you can imagine money is very dirty especially coin dust! coin dirt gets down into the smallest of places in your fingers and even scrubbing and scrubbing still don't get my hands clean. I have tried using latex gloves but our machines have sharp edges and corners and always tear the cloves then they slip so effectively latex gloves are useless! When I found this Invisible Glove it was the greatest find ever. Any time I do major work or work on coin machines I rub my hands down with this and all the dirt and grime washes right off no fuss no muss. My pores and cracks look like I hadn't done any work at all. I highly recomment this product to anyone working in a very dirty or greasy condition.

Blue Magic #5215 5OZ Invisible GloveI was happily amazed & excited to have found this product. I haven't had to scrub, scrub, scrub my nails after gardening once since I started using it. All I do now is soap them, brush lightly with the nail brush, & I'm done. I was surprised how quickly I received it,& am very pleased with my purchase. My overall shopping experience was great!!

It is an excellent product to protect healthy hands from grease, dust, paint etc. It is not good for hands with dermatitis or any other skin disorder. I have been using it for many years.

5.0 out of 5 stars invisible glove works, November 9, 2006
I work in a steel production plant. This stuff keeps dirt, grease, oil and carbon coating off your hands & under fingernails. I am also allergic to the oils & other chemicles we use. This really does form a barrier over your skin so there is no allergic reaction either. Great stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars Most overlooked product!, September 1, 2009
This review is from: BlueMagic 5215 Invisible Glove Protective Hand Coating - 5 oz. Hanger Tube (Automotive)
We have used this product for years! Whether painting or staining, applying Invisible Glove generously keeps hands from being stained by any product, and then just washes everything away with soap and water! It is indispensable for DIY projects - we were very happy to find it on Amazon!

This product keeps tactile strength high while at the same time protecting fingers from irritating materials. Used exclusivly for silversmithing. Now, no more steel wool particles stuck in the skin after buffing or polishing! Great product!

CONSUMER BEWARE: WATER SOLUBLE "GLOVES".

The product description above did not state this important feature at the time of the purchase (2/2/2011).

PROS:
Says it has no harsh ingredients
Plugs your skin with sodium silicate
Suppose to wash away using just water and soap

CONS:
Not water/moisture stable
Causes skin irritation with prolonged use
Not for a sensitive or dry skin
After the application hands skin feels extra dry and looks whiter not that "INVISIBLE", feel is similar to the powdered chalk/talc effect rubbed into the skin
While typing up this review couldn't bare it anymore and went to wash off with just water and soap, rubbing it off very thoroughly but turned out couldn't get it all off (!!!), skin feels overly dry and about to crack. After drying the white residue is still visible on the skin (see the picture)! And I have a regular (normal) skin type.

Just gave it to my co-worker to try to see if he has the same result. After rubbing it in he immediately said "doesn't feel right... tacky".

Here's the product description from the back of the label, since no one else bothered to include it in the Amazon product profile.

*APPLICATION: Just rub it on your hands before you start any grimy or messy job.
Dirt, grease, paint will wash right off when you're finished!
Be sure hands are dry.
Rub Invisible Glove on hands liberally and thoroughly - especially under and around fingernails.
Application lasts 3-4 hours. If hands get wet, reapply.
Wash off before eating.
To remove, simply wash with soap and water. Invisible Glove washes right off - taking dirt, grease or paint with it.

*NOTE: Invisible Glove is not intended to protect against Irritating or toxic materials.

*CAUTION: Prolonged, continuous use by persons with sensitive skin could cause irritation. Contains alkaline silicate. If irritation develops, discontinue use. Do not take internally. Close container after each use.

*INGREDIENTS: Water, glycerin, sodium silicate, soap, fragrance.

SUMMARY:
Probably not a bad product for some who have to deal with dry dirts, has oily skin and likes skin to feel weird.
I thought I was getting something similar to the "my Invisible Gloves" from EcoQuest International.

BTW, that EcoQuest product feels WAY BETTER, moist, non-toxic, non-irritating, non-water soluble, pH balanced, protects hands natural hydrophobic barrier (whatever that is), has vitamin E, aloe vera, etc. One downside though is the presence of two parabens. I'm not sure where I got it before but I'll keep looking.

It does create a barrier against your skin, but unless you reapply it after two or more hours it losses it effectiveness. I used it to keep soy based ink from getting under my nails and to wash off the ink easier. I will say it helped me cut the washing of my hands down by 3/4th the time and it did keep the ink from under my nails. I will use it again.

This is a great product to make clean up very easy. Just coat your hands before you start a messy task such as painting, washing your hands afterwards gets all the "mess" off easily. I was not able to find it in the hardware store and glad amazon carries it.
