Product Description

Amazing sounding calls even in noisy environments. We call it the Roadwarrior (TM) because some of our biggest fans are long-haul truckers. Unlike most over-the-ear headsets, the B250-XT features a professional grade, noise canceling microphone to effectively block out road and engine noise. High grade components ensure professional audio quality. If it works for an 18-wheeler driver, it'll certainly handle the road noise in the average car. An enhanced version of our popular B150 Wireless headset for Bluetooth enabled cellular phones and computers now with increased talk time: 10+ hours! Professional grade wireless Bluetooth headset for cellular phones and computers. Simply pair the headset to your Bluetooth enabled cellular phone or computer and you'll be handsfree and wirefree! The “gooseneck” microphone boom stays in place to ensure precise positioning. The concave ear cushion helps block out the sounds around you so you can hear your caller better. You also get an optional leatherette ear cushion, if you prefer that style. Say goodbye to wobbly over the-ear headsets! The over-the-head styling is stable, lightweight and comfortable. The ear cushion is slightly cupped for a better fit and the adjustable headband won’t slip out of place. You'll get 16+ hours of talk time out of a full charge. Up to 150 hours standby time. Volume, mute, call answer/end buttons on headset. Includes both Auto (DC) and AC charging cords. 128-bit secure digital encryption for privacy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hands Down Best Noise Cancellation August 31, 2009
By S. Lam
I've owned so many different types of bluetooth headsets it's not funny. I've used Blueant, Motorola's, Sony's, you name it. I don't care what kind of special technology is in there, there is never any substitute for putting the microphone next to your mouth. Now combine the boom microphone with a really good noise cancellation, and you've got the perfect FUNCTIONING system.

I've used it most often on my bicycle (when i'm not wearing a helmet). I can ride in windy conditions and the person on the other end knows i'm on a bike only because i'm breathing hard. They don't hear the wind. Loud buses or traffic doesn't make a difference. I used it at the ROLLING THUNDER Harley rally here in DC. I swear I couldn't hear my own voice when i was talking, but the person on the other end hears me fine.

The buttons are very simple, and on/off/answer button, and an up and down volume buttons (total three buttons).

THE WORST PART is you look goofy. I'm embarassed walking into a supermarket wearing thing. NO, I'm NOT an aerobic instructor! On my bike, in my car, or in my house, I don't care, but out and about, I feel like a dork.

FUNCTION over FORM :)

5.0 out of 5 stars the best May 21, 2009
I deliver noisy trucks for a living and have been disappointed with almost every headset and in-the-ear piece that I've tried. The biggest problem has been not enough volume, and sometimes complaints of poor audio on the other end. That was until I tried the Blue Parrott B250-xt. It works far better than any other unit that I have used both incoming and outbound. It has good battery life, and is very easy and comfortable to use. Best audio output, by far. I can't say enough about it !!

5.0 out of 5 stars works great June 12, 2009
This headset is made in china(too bad). The fit of the headset takes some getting used to (feels like the wire band is to short).
However it earns five stars because it works. lots of volume. the noise
cancelling works great. Nobody can tell when I'm on it. Easy well written instructions. It takes 12 full hours to charge it the first time
but both chargers 12volt/110 came with it and look to be good qaulity.
I would buy another one if it broke and will until you can show me a better unit

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product December 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
I have the B250-XT model. I am a truck driver and have never before found any headset that works as well as this one. I can hear the person I am speaking with and I have been told it sound as if I am not even using a headset by everyone I have asked. There is much background noise in a truck, especially when we use the CB radio. This is the first headset I have used and been told by my mother that she couln't here the truck! This is easy to charge and once you read the instuctions...easy to set up. It keeps a charge for a very long time...I've never had it go dead on me as yet. I would definately buy this product again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective Headset VXI B250-XT December 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
After reading the feedback from other users, I decided to take a chance on this headset. I wish I had given more weight to the reviews cautioning about purchasing this product. I wish I had NOT made this purchase! After reading the instructions and charging the headset for over 12 hours, I tried to turn it on and was not able to. I waited a couple of days and again charged the unit until it had a full charge. The charge light functions ok, the headset will just not power up. Apparently the headset was defective from the manufacturer. In the packaging there was a note directing any issues to the manufacturer and that the retail was not to be contacted. I followed their instructions and called VXI. VXI is located back east and I'm in the West, due to the time difference they were closed, I left a message on their customer service voice mail and expected a return call the next business day. I received no return call, I called for a second time and spoke to an individual that issued me a "return exchange" number and requested my credit card number as security deposit if I didn't return the defective headset within 30 days. Here is what is really irritating and why this is my last purchase from VXI. I purchased a headset for my wife because she needed one and in California it is illegal to drive and operate a cell phone without a hands free device. The unit arrived defective and I followed all their instructions and had to call twice to get assistance. One would think that they would want to remedy the situation as quickly and painless as possible. Well, that's not the case, in addition to requesting a credit card that now I will need to make sure they don't charge me, I am responsible for the return charges for the privilege of returning the defective equipment.... 1.0 out of 5 stars Not for the iphone 4 September 27, 2010
One of those great ideas that works for certain situations.

With my iphone 4, this headset fades in and out and is about 1/2 as loud as my Plantronics 925 on the outgoing volume. The fading is very noticeable on for the listener and verified by apple iphone tech support. Her comment was that I sounded great on the phone and on the 925.

I had called tech support and he did say they having some issues with the iphone 4 so there was nothing he could do about it. He was a bit condescending and tried to tell me it was because of the type of bluetooth in the iphone. I checked it and sure looks to me to be the identical 2.1 version.

As it is now, I have people asking me if I am there (can't hear me), say my voice fluctuates in volume, is of poor quality.
The incoming volume is so loud I had to turn down to almost minimum. That is fine with me, however, the phones volume controls do nothing to adjust ether volume. The incoming has to be done on the headset and the outgoing sound is not adjustable in the headset or the phone.

The voice command works great as do the redial although none of the button functions are similar to my other headsets, it is just a learning curve thing and some dropped calls to get it down.

The battery seems excellent and I have not run it out yet. 15 hours may be possible! Seems to charge fast as well.

The fit is not that great for my 7-5/8 hat size. I cannot get the mike in front of my mouth and the over the head strap will not extend as far as I would like it to.
Remember that the mike is directional and if you take the foam off you can see one side has "talk" moulded into it and that is the side to have facing your mouth. It is a little louder with the foam off.

This is a large, heavy headset.

Great sound and easy to set up! I spend a lot of time in a truck and the noise inside the cab of a big rig can drown out some headsets, but not this one.
