There's a hill In Misty Harbor, Maine, covered in blueberry bushes, and atop it sits a ramshackle blue house. It may not look like much on the outside, but the inside glows with a family's laughter and love.
When Jocelyn Fletcher takes a leave of absence from her job as an assistant district attorney in Baltimore, MD, she decides to visit her two sisters in Misty Harbor, Maine. Little does she realize what her matchmaking sisters have in store for her. They set up a job interview with the county sheriff, Quinn Larson, who needs a live-in housekeeper for his three motherless children. This is where the fun begins. He takes one look at Jocelyn, and suddenly he has second thoughts about her living in his home. There is instant chemistry between the two that keeps building throughout the story. Jocelyn gets the job and soon turns his household and his life upside-down. She easily falls in love with the sheriff and his children. I have loved this series of stories set in Misty Harbor, Maine. It all started with Catch Of The Day, and then, Christmas On Conrad Street. This book was wonderfully written, as were the other two. I loved all the secondary characters in each of the books, the author made me feel as if I were part of the town. The love scenes were hot and everything I'd hoped for. For me, it was one of those books I didn't want to end. I love the seacoast of Maine and can easily picture this town she has created for this series of stories. I can only hope this author has additional stories planned for Misty Harbor, Maine. I highly recommend this series of books.

I am reading this book now, and I think it is a good read. However, I often don't feel the chemistry between the two main characters, Quinn and Jocelyn. Having a hard time believing that they are really attracted to one another. I just finished a great romance novel, "The sexiest dead man alive", which I loved, so maybe this just pales a little in comparison. But I think the story line is interesting and light-hearted, so it is worth the read if you're looking for a descent romantic fiction

I listened to this book as an unabridged audio otherwise I don't think I would have finished it. This is a very by-the-numbers romance with absolutely no originality or spark. Maybe I've read too much but there I felt as if I had already read this story a billion times over. Everything about it was bland and, horror of all horrors, there were cutesy toddlers who took over the plot.

Jocelyn is a 26 year old lawyer who has decided she made the wrong career choice. She takes a leave of absence to find herself and heads to Maine where her two sisters have found her the perfect job. She's going to be a live-in nanny for Quinn, a hunky widower whose wife died only 6 weeks prior. Not to worry though, they were divorced for over a year so he's not broken up at all about her death. And neither apparently are the three perfect little cherubs whose every move, meal and squeal of joy is put down on these pages in loving detail. Sigh. I don't hate kids, really I don't, but you'll probably think I do after reading this review. The problem here is that I know more about the three toddlers than I do either Jocelyn or Quinn, the dad of this brood. I don't want to read about bath time with the kiddies, and mud pies and dirty Barbie dolls. I want some sexual tension, some funny banter, anything but another freaking descriptive passage about what the kids are eating, wearing or doing. I guess I'm just not the warm and fuzzy type.

As the book continues less emphasis is placed on the kids and more on the couple but it was all a little too late for me because my interest was long gone by then. The romance was tepid at best and the conflict nearing the end was too quickly resolved with too little angst for my liking. It's not horrible, if you don't mind a lot of kiddie talk in your books, but it just wasn't the book for me.
