The Bluebird Trail "Bible" for trail monitors,
By
This review is from: Bluebird trails: A guide to success
I own all three editions of this book and it has become better each time. Written by and contributed to by the founding members of the Minnesota Bluebird Recovery Program that began about 1979. The contributors include the "giants" in the bluebird conservation movement. The guidelines are time proven to be successful. Sadly, many of these experts in the bluebird conservation field have passed on - - but their ideas and innovations LIVE on to assure that our children will also be able to see bluebirds fly over the rainbow. I credit my success with bluebirds to all the wonderful folks who gave their time and effort to produce this book. Thank you to author and bluebirder Doren Scriven who editied this book of incredible information.

If you have interest in setting up a bluebird trail, this book is a fountain of information. It is well organized, includes plans for houses, and steps you through the process of helping these beautiful birds by establishing habitat. The bluebird returns again each spring to the area it fledged to raise it's offspring. It is a delight to watch and help these insect eaters make a comeback. This book will put you on the right track to setting up a trail of your own.
