It's so great not having to fish behind my desk for cables.

I am using my original CableDrops and the adhesive is still holding up beautifully, on both wood and laminate surfaces.

This product helps hold a cable in place to neatly route it along a path or so that it won't fall off your desk when you unplug it. For that, it does the job ok. However, it is rather large based on the maximum size cable it will hold (5/16 inch). I had one fall off when I accidentally tugged on the cable. Limited functionality and relatively expensive. I prefer the Command Cord Clips, which can hold multiple cords and also be removed without leaving any sticky residue.

My desk was a rat's nest. Period. Laptop power cord, monitor cable, iPod connection cable, keyboard cable, USB hub cable, wacom tablet cable, printer USB and power cables...see where I'm going with this?

'Cable Drops' let you pick a neat and direct path across a surface for your wires and consolidate them for a MUCH cleaner look. At max, each will hold about 4 standard gauge USB cables - OR - 1 larger gauge multi-pin cable + 1 smaller USB cable. They come with their own "peel n' stick" adhesive pads on the back and they hold on tight where they're placed. NOTE: there is a cautionary note on the packaging that warns "prolonged use of adhesive plates on sensitive surfaces may cause marking" - so maybe you'll want to think twice about sticking these to painted walls or the like.

My one small gripe is this: I chose the white color of this product - which has a hard, rubbery (yet slightly pliable), matte finish. The way this product is packaged from the manufacturer leaves each of the little pods exposed - Perfect for whatever tactile connection a potential buyer might experience when this product is displayed at a traditional brick and mortar outlet. Also, UNFORTUNATELY PERFECT for sucking up all the dingy dirt inside of a packing carton where they've been bouncing around and rubbing against the other items you've ordered from Amazon that have all been sitting around a dusty warehouse / storeroom for god knows how long. LONG STORY SHORT, my "white" Cable Drops showed up a dingy greyish / tan color. I'm going to give them a rubdown with some sort of cleanser at some point and possibly update this posting, but for now, they're dirty. This product IS available in black, so that may be a more practical, if not less "clean, modern, trendy-white" option.

All-in-all: if you're looking for a clean, easy, modern way to route your cables across hard unpainted surfaces where drilling holes is not an option, these are pretty nifty!

These are simple and get the job done. However the stickiness of the tape is very unreliable. The tape seems to adhere to a surface just fine, but it's prone to falling off from the rubber holder itself.

In areas where the cord inside the holder is very stationary and doesn't move it seems to be working better. But if you will be moving or adjusting your cord length inside the holder with any frequency (ie..with your every day laptop power cord) you'll be lucky to get 2-3 weeks use before the tape separates from the holder.

When I ordered these I only need 2 and I was wondering what I would do with the other 4. Well, in less than 2 weeks I found out, the adhesive pads will stick to your desktop just fine but they won't stick to the plastic cable holder piece! I have now gone through all six!

What did I do with them that was so stressful? I used them (actually one after another) to keep the power cable to my Macbook from sliding off the edge. No weight, no strain just keep the power cable on the desktop.

I purchased this product thinking I was ordering the name brand Blue Lounge product. I saw that there were already many fakes on Amazon so I took extra care to make sure I didn't fall for the trap of some of the cheaper prices out there. I paid full price, and this product had few, but solid reviews so I went for it. Big mistake.

This is not the real deal. The packaging was the first thing to throw me off - just a clear plastic bag with some strange flowering. They smell kinda flammable and use a slightly different mold from what I could tell comparing them to pictures on Blue Lounge's website.

I would have been fine with all of this and just ate the loss, but then I discovered the absolute worst thing about them. The double-sided adhesive on the bottom is WAY too thick! I havent tried sticking one yet (not sure if I will - they're pretty useless), but its clear that if I did, the entire thing would be hovering about 1/8 of an inch off the mounting surface! This is so much space in fact that you will be able to plainly see the bright white double-sided adhesive that is the meat of this ugly, dysfunctional, rip-off sandwich. Dont buy this.

These work for us, holding the charging cables for Iphones on both bed table and bureau. However, we have mounted them VERTICALLY and BEHIND the table and bureau so that just the connection end of cord sticks over the top. That keeps them out of sight and prevents damage to the furniture surface.

As noted, once in place, they do not move.

Ordered these because I'd been using bull clips to hold my cables and but my micro USB cable was so small it always fell out.

Anyway, I was a bit skeptical about the gap being small enough to hold my micro USB cable without it slipping out. Turns out it doesn't so I am pumped about these things.

They look great too. Kind of like a matte black.
