For the price and function, the Milo is hands down the winner. First, it is just the right amount of sticky. Other reviewers must be tripping or just looking for something to complain about because their wives just left them. The Milo fits snug on the exposed iPhone glass shell and easily pulls off for readjustment.
What is great about the Milo is that the bottom of the stand is slightly sticky as well. Now, it's not as sticky as the part that attaches to the phone, but just sticky enough to grip the aluminum laptop stand I bought, allowing me to tilt the laptop stand in bed for an optimal viewing angle, while the Milo stand keeps the iPhone in place. Granted this isn't a drastic angle, but the slight bottom grip of the Milo is exactly what I was after.
The Xtand is great. Just Mobile has made the best metal iPhone stand on the market, but the Xtand's unsticky bottom does not hold my iPhone as well on my laptop stand as the Milo. With the Milo costing nearly three times less than the Xtand, I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing.
Milo Pro's: Just the right amount of micro suction grip, sticky bottom, low cost, stylish design.
Milo Con's: Takes a few tries to place the phone level on the stand, won't get your wife back.
iPhone 5 Update: September 28, 2012
Sadly the Milo stand does not grip my iPhone 5 aluminium back, rending my poor Milo ineffective.Read more ›
This stand is awfully simple, but it's also awfully practical. Basically, I wanted a small stand upon which to rest my iPhone 4s, in front of my iMac. Now, the reason I would want such a stand is two-fold. First, I'm somewhat of a neat-freak. Second, I'm somewhat of a klutz. Those two characteristics might not seem to match up, but I believe I possess them, and they result in my desire for such a stand. I ran across the Milo, and it's worked out pretty well so far, but let me articulate a few specifics.
1.) The Milo ships in a small box with easy-peel covers over the face and base.
- Once you remove the piece that covers the underside of the stand, it does not shift around the desk at all, but it will lift easily, without leaving any mark.
- Once you remove the piece on the face, an iPhone or iPod, with a smooth back, will adhere, suspending the phone.
2.) I use an InCase slider case for my iPhone 4s, with a soft-touch finish, which keeps it from gripping to the face. However, the phone will still rest beautifully on the lower, black lip of the stand.
3.) With the phone in this stand, just in front of a 27" iMac, the entire phone is easily visible without blocking any portion of the screen.
4.) The styling falls reasonably well in line with Apple products and their simple lines.
5.) With the phone in this stand:
- I am able to see incoming calls and text messages and determine which are worth my effort without shifting my eyes too far from the screen.
- I am able to manipulate the screen enough, with a single finger, to make new calls and send brief replies to text messages.
- I am able to work the menu of music apps while the phone is plugged into my external speakers.
To put it simply, for $13.95, you really get a nice little stand.
In all, I like this product now that I tweaked it a little.

Really cheaply made. Falls over a lot. Doesn't stick for too long. Gets dry and doesn't work anymore. Don't waste your money.Published 1 month ago by Gregory Zackim
