Kirk has an amazing way of connecting to his readers - no matter what walk of life, where you stand in your faith - whether you have faith - he is able to reach beyond the book to impact your life your heart. This book will have you laughing one moment and crying the next - it is truthful, honest, REAL! Run to go get this book - you will not regret it.

I have read a lot of books, but this one hits every angle , issue for a lack of a better word. You must read it. kirk has you doing a lot of self evaluating. EXCELLENT READ!

I just finished Kirk's book last night. It was refreshing, honest, revealing, scripturally sound, and well written. I thought I was going to get the "all over the place" Kirk that you see at the concerts but it looks like he took on the real responsibility of delivering honest advice from his own perspective. Some books are "bookshelf" books and some books are "Goodwill" books. This is a "bookshelf" book.

Kirk is really transparent in this book drawing from his own life experiences as an adopted unwanted child as well as a christian father and husband. Whether your a single person going through the difficulties of a painful journey, Or whether your married and going through the frustrations as well as the bliss of married life, Or someone going through depression and hopelessness this book is for you. This book really has some insightful tips and advice for how to follow God's blueprint for life. I recommend this book to anyone who want to know how to get through the storms of life.

I saw Kirk Franklin on the Monique show on BET on Friday June 11th 2010. I was deeply moved by his words regarding his upbringing and how his mother didn't want him.It brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't wait to get to the bookstore the next day and purchase this book. I started reading it and I have not been able to put it down. I'm at work sneeking a peek, just to get a laugh or words of encouragement. It's definitely a tear jerker.I always felt a connection to Kirk Franklin way back in the early 90's. After listening to his testimoninal on the Monique show I knew why. We have similar past with respect to the "Mother" thing. I encourage people of all nationalties and cultures,especially African Americans to pick this book up! Your spirits will be lifted!

Kirk Franklin is very transparent in the book. He describes his struggles, his mistakes and is honest about how and when he chose to deal with these issues. He talks about how God got his attention regularly and really relates to "regular" people. I haven't finished the book but I am journaling my own journey and struggles while I read it and I am also reading it to my thirteen year old daughter. We all struggle. We all make mistakes. That's when we reach out to God and that is when he can become great in our lives. This book will change your life. You will look at your trials differently and you will grow closer to God and desire and real relationship with Him. Kirk Franklin comes across as a real person, like he could be your neighbor and he reminds us that we are all nothing without Christ. He doesn't give glory to himself for his accomplishments, he gives all the glory to God, where it belongs.

I love this book, it is so up lifting. When I first starting reading it I did not know what to expect, but after reading it I have a new found respect for Kirk Franklin. I feel everyone can relate to the book in some way or another. Again if you want a good up lifting experience please read the blue print.

I finished reading The Blueprint: A Plan for Living Above Life's Storms by Seven-Time Grammy Award Winner, Kirk Franklin. I LOVE this book!!! I have always admired Kirk Franklin as a musician and now I appreciate him even more in revealing so many truths through his own life's struggles, pain, gain and victory.

Boy, he sure tells it like it is so you better get ready if you're in need of a spiritual boost (jump start) because The Blueprint is a real page turner! It will effect you greatly, you know, like change your perspective (divinely focused lens). I'm talking about a solid foundation you can build upon. Not a shaky one that no amount of money and fame can make solid.

Reading through the pages of Kirk's book, you'll receive such affirmation and encouragement leaping off the pages if you're feeling all alone and no one cares. Kirk Franklin is so nurturing with his loving insights into our Heavenly Father's heart. (He knows the word.)

So, how do you want to live your life? Further into the book, Kirk shares (like a map) some basic tools for you to choose. Basically, The Blueprint is all about establishing the steps you need to take to get where you want to go.

Within the 13 Chapters Kirk discusses issues from sex to the soul; dealing with the overgrown weeds in our hearts, and talking about our commitments from faith to family. As a musician, one of my favorite parts of the book is where Kirk talks about Michael Jackson's video Billie Jean. (Curious? It's in the book!) And to feel what Kirk sees abroad on tour with so many folks wanting truth (Jesus) instead of rules and empty talk.

In my opinion, Kirk's honest heart-felt testimony of his own personal issues is powerful (sets him free) and revolves full circle with breaking harmful cycles (repositioning) and helping others get back in the race. (His passion for America). 5* book!

This is great read, Kirk really opens up and just spills out a lot of his struggles in life. He puts everything out there straight forward no sugar coating here. A few things were just so blunt and honest that if felt like a slap in the face to me, a slap that i needed I'm sure. Great encouragement for anyone, weather you are struggling right now with something or just want some preparation for the next time a storm comes your way I definitely suggest this book.

This book is a wake up call to those who read it. It will cause you to take a good close look at yourself and your life, and see who you truly are, and then make some changes with the flaws you have unknowingly carried around as obstacles in your life. You'll know who you really are and who you really can be afterwards.
