This review is from: Blueprint Reading for the Construction Trades (Paperback)
From the "Introduction" :
The text of this book will acquaint the student with the various methods of reproduction, including the care and handling of the original drawings. Strong empahsis is placed on the development of visualization, which is the very basis of print reading and an all-important factor in the training of the beginner. Freehand sketching of inanimate objects and familiar construction shapes in orthographic and isometric drawings will be used. A comprehensive list of building terms and abbreviations will afford a new vocabulary for entering this new world. Complete illustrations of standard symbols and conventions for all the major trades, line-work indications and title boxes will prepare the student for his or her eventual task. Details of component parts, complete working drawing and elevation drawings round out the learning experience. |
