Editorial Reviews

Review

"The size is excellent, and the layout with the answers following blocks of 50 questions is ideal. This book covers a good variety of subjects, is appropriately difficult, and has the right depth of explanation of the answers. I'd recommend this book - especially as a way to study for the shelf exam in peds." - Intern, Pediatrics, Stanford University Medical School, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Palo Alto, CA "It's always good to have lots of questions with GOOD explanations. - Class of 2004, Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA "These questions are in line with current Step 2. The strength of the book is that it goes beyond really simple, knee jerk answers and questions to present a variety of disciplines in peds with differing levels of difficulty. I would give it an A- (I don't really give out As but it comes close)." - Class of 2004, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY "The questions are appropriate for a PA to use to review, I have taken the PACKRAT (PA Clinical Knowledge Rating and Assessment Tool) and the format is very similar to those questions. I will recommend this book to students." - Class of 2004, Trevecca Nazarene University, Physician Assistant Program, Nashville, Tennessee --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

3.0 out of 5 stars good..., March 26, 2002

This review is from: Blueprints Q&A Step 2: Pediatrics (Paperback)
Good questions but answers could contain more explanations with small reviews on the respective subjects. Use it as additional help and to test your knowledge...This is common with the rest of Q&A books of the series

4.0 out of 5 stars Good vignette-style questions and pictures, February 12, 2005
This book covers the main topics in Peds - both basic and obscure topics. Again the best part of this series is the vignette style and explainations of correct AND incorrect answer choices.
