An incredible treasury of history, trivia, and humor!, December 13, 1997

This review is from: Blues Brothers: Private (Paperback)
I was completely blown away by this book. Full of pictures, police reports, orphanage files, psychiatric analyses, and of course, never before seen photos of Jake, Elwood, the Band, Sister Mary Stigmata, et al.
It's also packed with lots of details and trivia. For example, do you know the model of the Cadillac Elwood traded for a microphone? What was Carrie Fisher's character's real name? What are Jake and Elwood's middle names? Which band member was Amish? Lots of important things like that.
This is a must-find for all die hard fans of the Blues Brothers.

For any BB's fan, January 25, 2009

I absolutely love this book. I was ecstatic to receive it and I'm ecstatic to have it in my collection. This book dives into the back story of Jake and Elwood along with some back story on their band members and even events that took place before the movie (like a newspaper article stating that the Nazi party got their permit). This book is a must have. The only thing that truly bugged me was the writing. Everything was mostly cursive but it was difficult to read cursive (possibly because I never read cursive anymore) and there wasn't as enough stuff on Elwood than there was on Jake. It felt like Jake was more developed than Elwood but still, besides nitpicking, it's a great book.
Did you know that Jake once stole a piece of meat by putting it under his hat? Bet you didn't.
