Product Description

Amazon.com

You may know a preschooler who'd go blue in the face begging for this game starring the popular puppy from Nickelodeon. There's plenty to hold attention spans while moving around the board: children travel through Blue's rooms collecting clues, piecing together child-oriented concepts like making a Popsicle or building a snowman. But that's not all--there are activities, too. Land on the right space and you might find yourself winking, patting your tummy, or flexing a muscle. Blue's Clues Game is a good one for parents and little ones to play together. Clue cards, game board, spinner, playing pieces, and a notebook are included. True Blue fans will also enjoy Blue's Clues Floor Puzzle and Blue's Clues Colorforms Party Time Game. Blue's Clues Game is for two to four players. --Elizabeth Ward

Product Description

Hurray! Now Blue and her friends can come to your home anytime. Watch your children laugh and learn as they roam through Joe's house to discover Blue's Clues. The Handy Dandy Note Pad invites kids to draw the clues when they find them. Dance, smile, make a muscle, or give a high five...by landing on fun activity spaces. Moving along the board is as much fun as finding and linking the clues. This game is specially designed for parents and children to play together. Use new clue sets each time you play...and learn to link objects in different ways. Just like the show on TV! Includes game board, clue cards, spinner, instruction booklet, 4 playing pieces, and a Handy Dandy Note Pad.

2.0 out of 5 stars A busy parent's nightmare, August 11, 2000

Unless you have a patient child and lots of time on your hands, AVOID THIS GAME. Your 3-4 year old will want to play it all the time just because it's Blues Clues. However, it contains 100 tiny cards that have to be sorted into 25 specific sets of 4. Since the game provides no means of storing the cards in order, an adult has to spend 10 minutes setting it up before you can begin. By that time your 3-4 year old will either be screaming, or have moved on to something else. If you're lucky, you will find some tiny rubber bands and have the cards set up for next time. Of course, you'll have to set a guard dog on the game to keep your child from messing them up when you're not looking. If, by some miracle, your child is interested and the cards are in order, you will find the game interminable. The kids quickly tire of performing the same actions over and over, and we have always had to cheat to get to all three clues.

As soon as my kids go down for their nap today, I am taking this out to the trash. I would not even subject some other unsuspecting parents to this game by saving it for a yard sale.

1.0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOY!, November 26, 2000

I bought this toy for my four year old daughter last X-mas and It was the WORST game we have ever wasted our money on. There are WAY too many cards to sort out and once the cards get lost or ripped majority of the game is useless. Strongly recommend staying away from this toy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it for a younger child!, November 20, 2001

My 4 year old can't play this game and I doubt any 3 year old could play it properly. You have to draw the clues for other players to see and children that age can't draw very well. It is more entertaining for the adults that have to play with the child. And everyone else is right - all those little cards are a hassle.
